IMPORTANT FAQs

1. What should my completed application packet contain?


 It should contain the completely filled in application form, Demand draft of the
specified amount, copy of cash receipt if application form purchased from Coaching
Centres and the attested copy of caste certificate if applicable.
2. Whom do I send my filled in application to?
 Your filled in application form should be sent to “Chairperson Admission, Indian
Institute of Forest Management, Nehru Nagar, Bhopal 462 003, (M.P.) India”.
3. When should my completed application reach IIFM?
 Your completed application form should reach IIFM on or before 10th December 2009.
4. Will my application be accepted if it reaches IIFM after 10th December 2009?
 No, your application will not be accepted if it reaches IIFM after 10th December 2009.
Such application will be returned back to the candidate.
5. What amount of Demand Draft should be sent along with application form?
 You must send the Demand Draft of Rs. 900 if you belong to General / OBC /PD
Category and of Rs. 450 if you belong to SC/ST category.
6. On whose name the Demand draft should be prepared?
 Demand draft should be drawn on the name of “Director Indian Institute of Forest
Management” payable at Bhopal.
7. Do I need to write my CAT test registration number in the application form?
 Yes you have to write your CAT test registration number in the application form.
8. What will happen if I don’t write my CAT test registration number in the application form?
 Your application will be considered invalid if it does not have CAT test registration
number written at item No. 2 in the application form.
9. Do I need to enclose any certificates or photocopies at the time of submitting the
application form?
 You only need to submit the attested copy of caste certificate OBC Non Creamy
certificate if it is applicable to you. No other certificates or photocopies are needed at
the time of application submission. They will be needed only if you are shortlisted for
GD/PI.
10. Should I send the photocopy of my CAT admit card along with the application form?
 Yes, you must send the photocopy of your CAT admit card along with your application
form.

(a) The term ‘ordinarily’ used here will have the same meaning as in Section 20 of the
Representation of the Peoples Act, 1950.

(b) Where the certificates are issued by Gazette Officers of the Union Government or
State Governments, they should be in the same form but countersigned by the District
Magistrate or Deputy Commissioner (certificates issued by Gazette Officers and
attested by District Magistrate/Deputy Commissioner are not sufficient).
