My Brother’s Birdies Golf Classic to Benefit My Brother’s Keeper

Charity Golf Event to Benefit Boys & Young Men of Color.

Washington, DC, June 25, 2019 --(PR.com)-- On Monday, July 1, 2019, My Brother's Birdies hosts their
inaugural charity golf classic to benefit, My Brother's Keeper (MBK), at TPC Potomac at Avenel Farm,
Potomac, Maryland. The fundraiser, powered by presenting sponsor Lexus, aims to increase awareness of
My Brother's Keeper's local Prince George's and Montgomery County chapters.

"We are creating pathways and opportunities for success for the next generation of boys and young men
of color; so that they may reach their full potential and have a positive impact on their communities," says
Robert Johnson, Executive Director of My Brother's Keeper (Prince George's County Network).

During the event, MBK will promote the success of young men in the MBK network. Participants will
include leaders in the business, entertainment, athletics, and political arenas for a day of golf and
community engagement. The First Tee of Greater Washington, DC, will perform golf clinics for youth
participating in the MBK Program. 100 Father's Inc. of Washington, DC and Jacob's ladder Inc. of Prince
George's County will teach them the fundamentals and principles of fellowship, integrity, discipline, and
leadership in the game of golf.

“We're using the game of golf to engage new community partners to rally around the critical initiatives
and programs,” says Justin Harrison, program director with My Brother's Birdie Charity Golf Classic.
“The classic is a vehicle for the next generation of young men to learn and play golf, and provide mentors
an opportunity to connect with them.”

Funds raised through the My Brother's Birdies Charity Golf Classic will be donated to the MBK Network
and the three local MBK affiliate organizations: MBK Prince George's County and MBK Montgomery
County, focusing on mentorship, college readiness, job creation and reducing gang violence.

My Brother's Birdies Golf Classic sponsors include Lexus, Nightcap Advisors, Uptown Magazine, Mati
Energy Drink, The David & Mikel Family Foundation, Coca-Cola and TaylorMade Golf.
