The vision of Veer Narmad South Gujarat
University, as envisaged in the University Act, is to
contribute to the field of higher education in the
region and enable its inclusive development in all
walks of life by making available trained personnel
in various branches of human knowledge, keeping
in mind the larger goals of nation-building. The
University is committed to maintain high standards
in both undergraduate and postgraduate teaching,
promoting research and undertaking the requisite
extension activities that would reach out to every
section of society.
Veer Narmad South Gujarat University has
endeavoured to be an institution of excellence in
higher education since its existence, keeping in
view the regional needs and the emerging trends in
the global scenario. A semi–urban University
located at Surat city, the University has a campus
spread over 210 acres. The University, reaccredited
'A' grade in the third cycle by the National
Accreditation and Assessment Council in 2017. The
university was originally established under the
South Gujarat University Act, 1965 passed by the
Gujarat State Legislative Assembly. It became
functional from the academic year of 1966 and was
incorporated as a University on 23rdMay, 1967.
Recognized by the University Grants Commission in
1968, it was renamed as Veer Narmad South
Gujarat University in 2004 after the great Gujarati
poet Narmad, Narmadshankar Lalshankar Dave.
The mandate of the University is to meet the
developmental needs of the seven districts and two
Union Territory in the region and attempts at
realizing their potential in every walk of life
ranging from technology, business, industry and
commerce to language, culture, and fine arts. The

basic objectives of the University as envisaged by
the University Act are:
 Undergraduate and Post-graduate teaching,
maintaining their high standards, and award of
degrees to the candidates successful in their
respective examinations.
 Promotion of research and extension activities
relevant to the requirements of the region in
accordance with the interests of nation
building.
Departments and Colleges
The University's jurisdiction extends to the seven
districts of Surat, Navsari, Valsad, Narmada, Dangs,
Bharuch and Tapi and the Union Territory of
Daman and Dadra and Nagar Haveli. There are 23
Post Graduate Departments and 02
Institutes/Centers on the University campus that
offers 95 programmes with multiple specializations
including 19 M.Phil and 19 Ph.D. programmes. The
University has 29 Government, 60 Grant-in-aid and
184 Self-financed Colleges and 100 Post-graduate
Teaching Centres attached to affiliated colleges. The
University offers 36 Post Graduate, 4 Graduate, 3
Integrated and 9 PG Diploma and 05 Certificate
programmes including self-financed programmes
with semester credit based system at University
campus. In its Post Graduate Departments, more
than 4000 students are studying on the campus.
The University has twelve faculties such as Arts,
Commerce, Science, Education, Management
Studies, Rural Studies, Engineering and Technology,
Medicine, Law, Computer Science, Homoeopathic
and Architecture. In pursuance of its vision, the
University offers an academic environment
conducive for the integral development of its
students. All the departments emphasize
interdisciplinary areas of study that can open up
possibilities in new fields of research. Several major  Boys and Girls Hostels
and minor research projects are underway in  Guest Houses
various departments. There are over two-lakh  Convention Hall
students currently enrolled in various courses in  Dining Hall

Candidate must have passed Standard 12th (H.S.C) Examination through Gujarat Higher Secondary

INSTRUCTIONS FOR FILLING UP ONLINE ADMISSION FORMS FOR
B.B.A.
1. The students who wish to be admitted to B.B.A. in colleges affiliated to V.N.S.G.U. should go
to the University website www.vnsgu.ac.in and register themselves as per the instructions
given in the Information Booklet.
2. The students should fill up the admission form only after checking their eligibility for
admission as per the information given in the Information Booklet.
3. The students will be able to fill up the admission form from Date 03/06/2019, 11:00 a.m.
onwards upto Date 13/06/2019 till 04:30 p.m. from the University website
www.vnsgu.ac.in.
4. It is compulsory for students to have his own mobile number and E-mail ID. First and
foremost, the student has to register online and will receive Application Number and
Password on his mobile and on e-mail also. Then the student has to fill up all the details in
the Admission Form with the help of the Application Number and Password. The Password
should not be disclosed to anyone and should be kept till the admission process is over.
The student should keep his Passport size photograph with him.
5. Information regarding admission in first year and the main subject in B.B.A. Programme is
given in the Information Booklet. Accordingly, the students should select the college.
Minimum 10 (Ten) colleges should be selected. If possible, the students should select the
maximum number of colleges, so that he may be able to get an opportunity for admission.
6. After filling up all the information in the Online Admission form, processing fee of Rs.200
should be paid through Debit Card, Credit Card on Net Banking. The processing fee will not
be refunded under any circumstances.
7. After paying processing fee for online registration, verification is not required for those
students who have passed 12th Commerce examination in March-2019 with first attempt
from GHSEB and are in General category (Except EWS). All other students (SC, ST, SEBC,
EWS, P.H., Sports) & Other Board, Other State, Vocational Stream, Arts Stream have to
verify their documents at help centre.
8. There will be no verification of the Online Admission Forms and the original documents
after 04:30 p.m. on Date 14/06/2019. The students should note that Help Centres will not
verify torn, incomplete or lateforms.
9. After the forms and documents are verified by the Help Centre, the Help Centre will put the
stamp of “Verified” on the form. This “Verified” form will have to be submitted in the

 college according to the Merit List along with all self-attested original documents. Then the
student should pay the prescribed college fees to confirm his admission.
10. If a student’s original Certificates or Documents are found false during Verification or
Enrollment by the University, then the admission of the student will be cancelled and the
fees paid by the student will not be refunded.
11. Anti Ragging Committee functions in every college. If a student is found guilty of ragging,
then according to law, an F.R.I. will be lodged against the student. It is mandatory for every
student to fill the Anti-Ragging Form and submit it to the college.
12. If the merit marks of two or more students is the same, then the marks of Std.-X will be
considered and the student who has secured more marks in Std.-X will be accorded the
higher merit. If the marks of Std.-X is the same, then the age of the students will be
considered. The students, whose age is higher will be accorded higher merit.

 INFORMATION REGARDING RESERVED SEATS
The information regarding the reservation of seats in different categories as decided by Government of
Gujarat is given below. If a student wants to get benefit of reservation, he/she has to submit Caste Certificate
issued by authorised officer. Candidates belonging to S.E.B.C category are required to submit the Fresh Non-
Creamylayer Certificate (after date 31st March, 2019) along with the caste certificate from the authorised officer.
If they fail to do so, they will not be given the benefit of reservation.

STATE :
1. Reserve Quota for Physically Handicapped3% of the total seats (included in respective category)
If a physically Handicapped Candidate wants to get benefit of reservation, he/she has to obtain a certificate
indicating 40% or more disability from an authorised officer.
2. Reserved quota for candidate of other board except G.H.S.E.B. residing in Gujarat State 5% of the total Seats.
3. Reserved quota for Candidate of other board except G.H.S.E.B. residing outside Gujarat state: 1% of the total
seats.

1. 3 seats per division for the students who have participated at National or State level school games.
2. Students seeking admission on sports quota will be given admission through separate sports counseling.
3. Sports quota will be allotted to those Self-Finance colleges whose Principals have given application for sports
quota and taken permission from the University.
4. In 3 seats of sports quota per division will be given in Self-Finance colleges, 3 seats of sports quota per
division will be included in the total seats approved by the University.
5. To quality a students should have represented atleast at the state level games.

Note:The students who want to take admission in the Sports Quota should fill the Online Admission
form in which be should select Sports Quota. Then the students will get his form “Verified” at the
Help Center. The Sports Quota form will then be sent to the University by date: 21/06/2019.

1. 5% seats will be reserved for the students of science stream in B.B.A. Programme

REFUND OF FEES
If a student after securing admission according to the merit list wishes to join another college
selected by him, then he can cancel his admission in the original college and the full fees paid by him
will be refunded along with original documents.
But if a student cancels his admission, the following rules will be applicable.

If a student chooses to withdraw from the program of study in which he / she is enrolled, the
