II. Course Title: PHILIPPINE HISTORY & ROOTS AND DEVELOPMENT Pre-requisite: None
III. Course Description: A course on the general background of the political, economic and religion development of the Philippines from the earliest to the
present. This enables the students to learn and appreciate the physical and human geography, and traces the roots and beginnings of the Filipinos’ culture
and society. This also examines the impact of colonization and integration of the Philippines into the global community on both the national, regional
and local levels. This also gives a number of desired traits, nationalistic values and solid sense of history and socio-economic cultural responsibility and
commitment.
IV. Objectives:
A. Institutional Objectives:
JMC aims to provide a complete and centralized system that molds every student into becoming a skillful and knowledgeable
individual, spiritually, and morally cultivated and academically excellent; where education is characterized by practical and active learning
based on the standards suitable to the basic needs of every student; where education provides new ways to deeper learning not only in the
academic aspect but also in other areas of living both socially and spiritually.
