The size of the universe in the view of the church cosmology

Dan Bdulescu The lately excitement of the politically correct globalist roller leveling presents a series of paradoxical "dialogues" between the incompatible elements which are excluded as water and fire, light and darkness, truth and falsehood. Such dialogue is the that of "science and religion" in which is presented an unprecedented harmony and concord between the two "disciplines"(?) that perfectly complement each other as both desirable and sustainable neither more nor by less than by God Himself, Who in this purpose "gave man the mind to discover ... etc., etc. ..." We have reported in the past such outlandish initiatives, which seem to have lost the momentum and youth enthusiasm from a few years ago. But look, new articles appear nowadays which having, lets say, pious intentions to glorify God, give believers without blinking, or be a little thought, a number of assertions made in the fabulous contemporary cosmology, a pot of heresies and blasphemies built on the old and new kabalistic cosmology, the brunian (G. Bruno's), Copernican heliocentrism, relativism and the big-bang (expanding universe), from where we get an enormous size of the universe measured in billions of light years. We can assume without hesitation that the authors of these articles think earnestly also about an age of 16 billion years, days = geological periods and everything connected to the evolutionary timeline. Compared to this, we dared, asking forgiveness due us, to give a reply on in the hope that it will not hurt and offended those concerned, but that attitude will be perceived as a Christian and a faith confession of an Orthodox priest who had vowed to respect the tradition of the Church and to preach (as much as possibly) intact and unchangeable truth, as this was revealed by God in the Holy Scripture (the Prophets, the Holy Apostles), and expounded by the Church Fathers. Our starting point of the chronology of the cosmos is the Church one, scriptural and patristic (Traditional) according to which we are in year 7516 from creation of the world. We can now go into the details of this timeline due to the stewardship of the article. This being so, an universe which is as old as 7516 years can not possibly have the tremendous size of 13 to 16 billion light years. For if we multiply 300,000 km / s with 60 (light-minutes) then 24 (day-light), with 365 (light-year) and finally this amount by 13 to 16 billion, we get numbers that surpass any measure, i.e. essentially an overwhelming picture of an universe as vast and infinite, in which the poor earth is a tiny point lost in a poor solar system that is in a galaxy, which finally starts to count somewhat in this "iconomy" of phantasmagoria of human cosmology.

But beware! not somehow believe that the universe could even be the size of 7500 light years. For behold, the stars, i.e. the heavenly bodies in the end of the 8th heaven1, were sawed from the very first moment! The light did not need billions nor even thousands of years to reach Earth, but only an instant, as do say the Scripture and the Fathers: "The air was lighted up, or rather made the light circulate mixed with its substance, and, distributing its splendour rapidly in every direction, so dispersed itself to its extreme limits. Up it sprang to the very aether and heaven. In an instant it lighted up the whole extent of the world, the North and the South, the East and the West. For the aether also is such a subtle substance and so transparent that it needs not the space of a moment for light to pass through it. Just as it carries our sight instantaneously to the object of vision,2 so without the least interval, with a rapidity that thought cannot conceive, it receives these rays of light in its uttermost limits." (St. Basil the Great Hexaemeron) And then the whole mythology of light-years has to be thrown away without some hesitation and compassion, being also a lie that is based on heliocentrism, evolutionism and Darwinism, i.e. so many heresies and blasphemies against God, His creation and revelation. Let's see what this tells us about the allegations of so-called cutting-edge theories of the Big Bang, which involves an ever-expanding universe, which currently has the daunting size shown above: "When I consider Thy heavens, the works of Thy fingers, the moon and the stars, which Thou hast ordained." (Psalm 8:3) "His going forth is from the end of the heaven, and his circuit unto the ends of it" (Ps. 19:6) "By the word of the Lord were the heavens made." (Ps. 33:6) "Who stretchest out the heavens like a curtain" (Ps. 104:2) Blessed Theodoret of Cyrus interpretation: "It taught them the easiness of creation: that, as to man is as easy to stretch the skin and make the tent, so God has stretched all the great vaults of heaven just saying the word." That picture is clear as possible here: the extent of the curtain. But this "stretching" of the heavens like a curtain and it happened in an instant. And the curtain, eh? when its size remains large and is in no way a balloon to inflate all the time. Again, we have not mentioned that the universe is strictly limited, and as we know from actual teaching, limited by the waters above. So no chance for an expanding universe. And if we ask ourselves what was the original purpose of inducing large-scale extravaganza, we shall immediately see their direct connection with heliocentrism and evolution. Let us remember that the starry sky - the 8th - the farthest from Earth makes a complete revolution around the earth in daytime.

3 Or, as the heliocentric system wants to demolish this argument, the enormous distance expressed in staggering zeros figures will put in front of gullible human (but not sufficiently faithful too) the question: "How is it possible for stars to walk away this supermega-distance in just 24 hours? Lets count the movement speed, and see what may be achieved." Faced with this undisputed "evidence" any "common sense" opposition will fall apart to. But there is not so at all! All the nine heavens are actually turning around the earth in a single day, though, do it with different speeds. How is that possible? First, we see that the distance to the stars is not so huge as there always are indoctrinated. Secondly, the unit light-year is nonsense which stays and falls together with the heliocentrist system. We can not say exactly which is the size of the universe expressed in kilometers, but we can say the following: the speed of light is so great that the stars were seen in an instant flash (second) on earth! Therefore we totally reject that the scientific nonsense which claim that dew to the "light years" we can see stars (and possibly planets) that... no longer exists, have disappeared, and now we see only their image that runs through the area until further notice while the n billion light years. We do not accept any loss (explosion) of stars, galaxies, all these statements denying divine providence. But we Orthodox Christians confess: "I believe in one God, the Father Almighty (Pantocrator)..." that has not created any cosmos out of chaos - another heretical human invention - and leave nothing to chance (hazard), so it also does not allow cosmic catastrophes, not to mention the imaginary dangers of asteroids out of control that could destroy in a flash our "planet"! So keep in mind: our universe is the only one "seen", sensitive, and is great as we see it. So let us stop feeling "lost" the gap in the immensity of space, but to be masters of this "house", or yard if you want. In it we are the only body with life on it - the earth - and we are the only sentient beings that are rational. But in no way does this mean that "we are alone in the universe." This unfaithful thought could not arise but in the unbelieving minds of men partially or totally alienated from God and His Mother, the holy angels and saints in heaven, who, even not perceived as sensitive, are much more, even infinitely more present in this universe. Who needs the "aliens" invented by the atheist SF? We are fully aware that by such statements we put us in a position completely opposite of science, namely at least the last 500 years of science, undermining any brotherly dialogue of religion with it, so dear and politically correct in the last time. But what communion hath light with darkness? What kind of dialogue can have the truth - the divine revelation with the lie - sciences of the rebelled human like his father, Lucifer? We will see how things are when there be recorded protest reactions to these teachings contrary to science. And alas, will not even wonder if they will even come from among some Orthodox Christians, clergy, monks and believers who will not suffer them quietly disturb their good understanding of the world and its things:

4 "And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie." (2 Thessalonians 2:11) For categorical asked to choose, without hesitation or compromise between the two cosmologies, they will cry in their conscience and Scripture Ephesians: "Great (and very old) is the universe of the evolutionary scientists" (Acts 19:28). What to say of the eventual riots of astronomers, physicists, historians, geologists, biologists, etc., these new "Demetrius", which will see their economic interests endangered? Once again, it is clear what it meant the challenging of the geocentrism: the blow at the very base (foundation) of a building. Since then they have messed spatial and temporal cues, with incalculable consequences. But do not imagine these "scientists" that they will be able to continue indefinitely to deceive simple souls: the Lord watches, and can neither be deceived or manipulated: "Thou shalt destroy them that speak leasing For there is no faithfulness in their mouth; their inward part is very wickedness; their throat is an open sepulchre; they flatter with their tongue. Destroy thou them, O God; let them fall by their own counsels; cast them out in the multitude of their transgressions; for they have rebelled against Thee. But let all those that put their trust in Thee rejoice: let them ever shout for joy, because Thou defendest them: let them also that love thy name be joyful in thee. For Thou, Lord, wilt bless the righteous." (Psalm 5:6, 9-12) Blessed Theodoret of Cyrus interpretation: "In the middle He brought the evil catalog showing all the contrary things to the divine will, because it says that God not only stops... the lie and deceit... but hates also their workers who do not want to take heed repentance. And it signifies by these those who stood against the Church in various times, but could not overcome her, after stopping and not permission of our God and Savior Himself, Who says: "The gates of hell shall not prevail against her." This thing was even showed by this very Psalm... With the lie he says - they always pollute their tongues. With their words are similar and match and their thoughts and their minds together, confess their mouths. The closed tombs have a hidden stink, and the free open even more. Such words he says - they belch and full of all ungodliness and stink. And it does mean by these words the blasphemy against God and the words of slander. So let them be brought under Your judgement - o Lord! - and be accused by those that they mastered against us, and to learn by experience that they weave spider net, and be punished after the worthiness of their insolence. Because... they started the war against Thee. And this will fill the joy into those who believe in you. And it will give them their eternal sweetness and not the perish of those, but the wearing of Your care, being fully confident that You will live in them, and walk in them and will show them house sacred to Thee." We turn now to our fellow priests: Your reverends! Those above said are of a great importance, and that so is the case bears also witness the service exorcisms that we read before Holy Baptism. For there we say: "Fear God... Who built the heavens... He who stretched out the heavens as a curtain, He who has covered the water over it, the one who founded the earth and not rinse for ever..." Many times we read these perhaps without thinking carefully and consciously on what we witness about the fearful Lord in whose power and name we drive out from the one who prepares for the receiving of the Sacred Enlightment of Baptism, the devilishly powers of darkness, deception and heresy: "the spirit of deceit, cunning spirit... the spirit of lies... the spirit of idolatry ministry that works according to the teachings of the devil." Exactly these

5 spirits spoke about heliocentrism, evolution, relativity, parallel universes, extraterrestrial life, big-bang and alike. God did and taught totally contrary, as Holy Scripture and Fathers testify. From now on maybe we can give more attention to their significance, primarily as ourselves are completely and firmly convinced that this is so, even if the whole world would testify against us. Only thus can we inspire our flock the true faith confessed in "Spirit of truth who is everywhere and fills all things." So we will be fruitful fig tree salt and salt. Otherwise... And to our Orthodox believers we share the words of St. Theophanes the Recluse: "So, the fully frame of our faith begins with the knowledge, passes through the feeling and fulfills with the life, thereby making possession of all the powers of our being and taking root into its grounds. And as many as walk according to this rule, peace be on them, and mercy (Gal. 6:16). In them are committing what the Lord said about the house built on rock. One of this kind do not even try to deceive with philosophizing: All the perplexities and doubts are for the faithful soul as the blows of the grains of sand into a hard wall. For all these, the answer is one: "I know that truth is in our faith, because I live her power that heals." The patient that has been cured by a medicine would not listen to those who would speak against the medicine in question. How can he not think about its healing power, if he has received relief from it? So in this case: do you think that this man will listen to the vain words of the science in fashion, which is rebellion against God, against Christ, or that he who knew the power of faith would be moved from the vain inquiries? "Here is the truth", will answer he loud to all attempts to shake him, "'cause on this way I received the power which with I work without being swayed by anything, that I have healed all my weakness and I was brought to God, communion with which, in Christ Jesus, and forms the core of my spiritual life." As long as the soul still get acquainted with the faith, he may be shaken with questions (which sometimes is very easy to answer) - and after is healed by faith, perplexities unsolved for him does not mean absolutely nothing. The branch that has not yet caught and taken root is pulled by even a slight wind, and well-rooted tree fears no strong storm." (St. Theophanes the Recluse Answers of intellectuals questions) Let these commits be support and strength to us in daring to face in a completely unequal fight (spot) the rulers of this world that are engaged in battle with God and His elects. It is not at all easy, but the final outcome of this confrontation cosmic life and death, and this eternal was revealed to us...
