Vegfest UK Brighton

The first ever VegfestUK event takes place in
Brighton on March 19th 2011 from 11am – 7pm
and is the perfect spot for any business, charity
or organisation looking to touch base with thou-
sands of veggie friendly consumers in the UK’s
vegan capital – Brighton.
The event takes place in the plush surroundings
of The Hove Centre and is FREE to the public
and a large crowd is expected to visit the 100 +
stalls, as well as a full line up of talks, cookery
demos and entertainment – and loads of amaz-
ing vegan food.
‘It’s usually the excellent choice of vegan food
that has attracted visitors to our previous
events’ says Tim, the organiser of VegfestUK,
‘and it’s not just veggies and vegans who come
to sample the incredible range of vegan goods
and services on offer at the show. People from
all backgrounds and dietary persuasion pile in
as soon as the doors open, and VegfestUK goes a
step further as it’s free to the public. Expect a lot
of people.’
VegfestUK offers a unique opportunity for the
small vegan producer to gain maximum expo-
sure to a veggie hungry audience for very little
outlay, and VegfestUK has the added advantage
of attracting a number of people within the
Natural Products Trade, including distributors
as well as shop keepers and other manufactur-
ers, making it an excellent opportunity to net-
work with trade buyers and decision makers, as
well as media.

for 2m x 2m stall. There are plenty
of other promotional opportunities
too, including advertising on the event
website and ebulletin, sponsoring or sup-
porting the event, or adding samples and
promotional material to goody bags and the
tombola.
‘Our shows are always lively, and full of inter-
esting people, along with an amazing selection
of stalls – and Brighton is always a fun place to
host an event like this’, says Tim, ‘There’s such
an interest in veggie and vegan products in the
Brighton area, you can’t go wrong really. And
it’s not just the food – there’s a big demand for
cruelty free fashion and bodycare too – not to
mention information. And there’s a lot of inter-
est in campaigners down this way as well.’
VegfestUK then moves on to Bristol for its large
two day outdoor affair in the centre of the city
on May 28/29th 2011, complete with a mini rock
festival in the evenings. ‘Bristol will be free to
the public during the day, and then at 6pm it
becomes a pay festival, with headline bands and
DJ’s’, explains Tim, ’so we should see the best of
both worlds.’ Crowds of up to ten thousand are
expected at what has to be the biggest vegan
event in Europe this year.

Stalls
There are over 100 stalls available at Vegfest UK Brighton. The stalls start at 2m front by 2m depth
and the price includes a table and chairs if required. There are also 4m frontage by 2m depth or a 6m
frontage by 2m depth options if required, or bigger if you want. There are no shell schemes available
– this is floorspace only, but you may erect your own stall if required – please contact the office for
further details about this.

Discounts are available for very small businesses (turnover under £20,000 a year), small campaign-
ers, not for profit groups, charities and therapists. If you would like to apply for a discounted rate stall
please contact the office.

Sharing
You are also welcome to share a stall (and the costs) if you only require a very small space or are
financially challenged. This could work out at as little as £24.50 + vat each for a 1m frontage by 2m
depth, sharing the table with someone else.

Electricity is available on request at an extra charge

All stall prices are subject to VAT at 17.5% in 2010 and 20% in 2011. Vat rate is applied at time of book-
ing and paying.
