• Universalisation of Education and Role of Media: participated in a two day national seminar in
Bhopal organized by Unicef and Makhanlal Chaturvedi National University of Journalism as special
invitee. January 2005
• Role and Responsibility of Media in social change: conducted a two day National Media Seminar
consisting senior Media and Social Sector representative from all three new states i.e. Chhattisgarh,
Jharkhand and Uttaaranchal. Before the seminar I have also done a three months media scanning in
all three states on news coverage of development issue in newspapers. November 2004
• Rajya Gathan ke Char Saal: Janta ki Report Card (Four year of state formation: peoples Report
Card) conducted a state level survey in Uttaranchal on four different aspects i.e. role and condition of
Media, Administration, Society and politicians on completion of four year of state formation. October
2004
• Kitna Safal Panchayati Raj: Janta Ki Awaaz (How successful is Panchayati system: Voice of the
People) conducted a panchayat level survey in MP to highlight problem faced by dalit/tribal women
sarpanches at different level i.e. panchayat, block & districts lelel and also at social, political and
administrative level. September 2004
• Village Voices: with financial support from BHC conducted a survey in five states i.e. MP,
Chattisgarh, Jharkhand, Uttranchal, and Rajasthan on Implementation realities of Government
welfare schemes specially focused on poorest of the poor, women and children. Released a media
report based on this survey after conducting a media interface with surveyors from different states
and media personals from Delhi. March 2004
• Invited by Indian Institute of Mass Communication to give lecture on development Journalism. 2004

• Invited by Prawah an NGO in Delhi to discuss development Journalism with students from different

involvement in water harvesting in Rajasthan and Gujarat. 2001
• At Vidushak Karkhana, Shahdol, M. P. involved with the voluntary group from 1986 to 1990. Worked
primary on various educational programmes and income - generation projects like bee keeping,
poultry and organic farming. Took part in script writing for audio-video shows, organizing poster
exhibitions, concept and scripting for street plays, and public discussions among students, tribal
peasant and industrial workers. 1994
• Non-Formal Film Promotion through organizing screening of socially relevant documentary films.
These include Ram ke Naam, Bombay Our City, Vikas Ke Hashiye Par, etc. 1994
• As part of a team organising action against the installation of a explosives plant that could cause
environmental and ecological hazards for land, water and the population in Jamudi Village, Shahdol
Dist. Worked as an active volunteer - 1993.
• Carried out a survey of the victims of the Bhopal gas tragedy for the “Bhopal Gas Pidit Sangharsh
Morcha”, with an aim of making available medical assistance and monetary compensation to the
victims. - 1994.
• Published a report on a survey conducted by the University of Journalism, on the conditions of the
labourers and the reasons for leaving their villages, now living at Arera Colony, Bhopal. 1994
• Apart from these workshops I have conducted more than 40 Media workshops in different states i.e.
UP, MP, Bihar, Jharkhand, Rajasthan, Chhattisgarh, with social worker, rural reporters and media
