Tennessee Solar Industry Gathers to Elect Association Board Members

Tennessee continues to establish itself as a leading state in solar industry growth

Knoxville, TN, November 25, 2010 --(PR.com)-- The Tennessee chapter of the Solar Energy Industries
Association (TenneSEIA) is one step closer to their official membership launch in December 2010. The
charter members voted in the first official Board of Directors meeting on November 15, 2010 at the
Knoxville offices of Baker, Donelson, Bearman, Caldwell & Berkowitz, PC.

The TenneSEIA Board of Directors is comprised of seven members from a cross-section of the solar
industry value chain, including manufacturers, solar installers/designers and business professionals, as
well as a diverse geographic representation of Tennessee. The Board of Directors consists: Andy Johnson,
Senior Manager, Policy and Government Relations, Sharp Electronics Corporation; Patrick Sargent,
Market Intelligence Manager, AGC Flat Glass North America, Inc.; Terry Strange, Tennessee Site
Manager, Hemlock Semiconductor, L.L.C; Mary Shaffer Speight, Community Relations and Grant
Specialist, Efficient Energy of Tennessee, LLC; Steve Johnson, President and Founder, Lightwave Solar
Electric, LLC; Gil Melear-Hough, Renewable Energy Manager, Restoration Services, Inc.; and Scott
Carey, Nashville Managing Shareholder, Baker, Donelson, Bearman, Caldwell & Berkowitz, PC.

Gil Melear-Hough, President of TenneSEIA, stated, “This is a major step in continuing to establish the
solar industry in Tennessee. Our organization will provide a platform for those in the solar industry to
work together in order to foster industry growth. The industry is unique in that solar energy serves a
variety of needs and values. We are working toward the three 'E's': Economics, Environment and Energy
Independence/Security.”
