Academic Support Center Coordinator at the Cambridge
Campus Heidi Haagenson signed her book, “The Tenney
Quilt,” at Scout and Morgan Bookstore in Cambridge on Dec.
4. The book is based on a historical signature quilt which
Haagenson now owns that has been in her family since it
was made in 1928 in the little town of Tenney, Minn., where
her mother was born and raised. As a fundraiser to buy a
cook stove for the town hall, 700 participants, representing
the people of Tenney and its surrounding area during the
late 1920s, paid 10 cents to have their names embroidered
onto the quilt. “The Tenney Quilt,” emerged from my desire
to learn more about my own personal history,” says
Haagenson. The book is available for sale at Scout and
Morgan Bookstore in Cambridge, Minn., at common online
outlets such as amazon.com, and is in circulation at the
libraries on both Anoka-Ramsey Community College cam-

Vice president credits many with institution’s success
