A special area will be assigned as the exclusive cyber-café center of the Congress. A number of work
stations will be installed enabling participants to send and receive e-mails and surf the web.
The sponsoring company's name will be prominently displayed on the signage as well as the screen
savers of the computers.

PRIZES - EDUCATIONAL GRANT FOR BEST ORAL &


POSTER PRESENTATIONS - EUR 2.000,00 (excl. VAT)

An unrestricted educational grant will be awarded to the best oral and poster presentations. A
representative of the sponsoring company will award the grants. The prize winners will be selected
by the Organizing Committee and will be awarded at a Plenary Session on the final day of the
Congress. The grants will assist the recipients to continue their research.

Application for Sponsorship


Application for sponsorship can be made in writing with the enclosed booking enquiry form to:

Once a Booking Form is received a contract will be sent to you for completion. This contract should be
signed and returned with a 50% deposit payment to the sponsorship/exhibition office address above.
Alternatively an invoice for the deposit can be requested on the Booking Form. Once this has been
received a confirmation of sponsorship will be mailed to you with an accompanying invoice.

Information on VAT
The procedure applicable to any service rendered to an external company applies:

- An invoice will be addressed by Forum d’Ideias, the congress secretariat, to the sponsor, mentioning
the subject and the amount without VAT;

- If the sponsoring company is located in a country of the European Union, except Portugal, and if the
company has a VAT number, this VAT number must be mentioned on the invoice and no VAT will be
charged;

- If the sponsoring company is located in Portugal (with or without VAT number) or if the company is
located in another country of the European Union and has no VAT number, VAT of 21% must be
charged onto the amount of the invoice (VAT subject to change);

- If the sponsoring company is located outside the European Union, no VAT must be applied ("service
to a company external to EU").

Terms of Payment
50% with signed contract
50% by March 27, 2009
All payments must be received before the start date of the Congress.

Booking Form, space will be confirmed and a contract and an invoice will be mailed. Please note
that three alternative choices should be clearly indicated on the application form. Space
allocations will be made in the order in which application forms with payment are received. The

EXHIBITOR REGISTRATION
All exhibitors are required to be registered and will receive a badge displaying the exhibiting
company name. Two exhibitor badges will be given for the first 9 square metres booked and one
additional badge for each 9 sqm thereafter. Any additional exhibitors will be charged an exhibitor
registration fee of € 50 (excl. VAT).
An exhibitor registration form will be included in the Exhibitors' Technical Manual.

EXHIBITORS' TECHNICAL MANUAL


An Exhibitors' Technical Manual outlining all technical aspects of exhibiting will be circulated 3
months before the Congress. It will include the following

EXHIBITOR PROFILE
A 100-word Exhibitor Company/Product profile will be published in the list of exhibitors in the
official program and must be submitted electronically by e-mail to

CANCELLATION/ SPACE REDUCTION POLICY


Cancellation must be made in writing to:

The organizers shall retain:


- 10% of the agreed package amount if the cancellation is made more than 12 months prior
Congress
- 50% of the agreed package amount if the cancellation is made between 12 and 4 months
the Congress
-100% of the agreed package amount if the cancellation is made up to 4 months prior to the
Congress.

If exhibition space is resold a full refund will be made less a 10% administration charge.
