FASCINATION ZEPPELIN
The Zeppelins opened intercontinental air traffic 70 years
ago. They brought passengers, freight and primarily mail
over the oceans within two to three days. Instead of tra-
velling for days on the back of, often badly careening
ships, which frequently led to unpleasant seasickness, the
guests of the Zeppelins enjoyed a quiet, luxurious flight.
However, the reason for the journey was not the pleasure
of the landscape but arriving at the destination as fast as
possible and at the best possible comfort.
Today this task has been taken over by the much faster
airplane, enabling us to reach all important destinations
within hours. However, we fly at approx. 1.000 km/h at
approx. 10.000 m of NN height in gigantic airplanes with
a few, small windows. Travelling as once Johann
Wolfgang von Goethe and Mark Twain experienced has
been completely left behind.
To enable to show you the exquisite landscapes, the
various cultures, the natural wonders and the fascinating
weather atmospheres, ZEPPELIN EUROPE TOURS AG was
created. The discovery of slowness becomes once again
the path to the destination.
With the modern Zeppelin NT developed in Friedrichs-
hafen we give a taste of the future of the Z-airships.
The passenger will then travel in a lavish gondola and
due to the large windows and the low altitude the
traveller can explore and enjoy the landscape.
Our tour guide will individually look after you on the
flights from England to the Netherlands and show you
the towns and landscapes gliding underneath you and
provide useful information.

THE EXCLUSIVE WAY TO DISCOVER EUROPE
In the spirit of the preface we have, for the first time,
prepared an exclusive flight tour from England via
Northern France and Belgium to the Netherlands. Thus,
we make the unique experience of the gentle Zeppelin
tourism possible, the unique exploration of towns and
landscape from the bird's-eye view in the leisure of
slowness.
In cooperation between Aerwin Technologies, The Hague
and ZEPPELIN EUROPE TOURS AG, Zurich, we are now tur-
ning over a new leaf in Zeppelin travels in Europe.
This unique tour starts on historical roots, the English air-
ship station Cardington near Bedford. So join us when we
and the new Zeppelin NT (works number 4) stretch the
bow from the time of classic airships to the modern world
of high tech airships.
We welcome you on board to accompany us on this
fascinating airship flight.
The tour of our 10 flight passengers starts with the jour-
ney to Bedford near the historical airfield Carrington on
26.8.2008. Here lies the cradle of English aeronautics,
still imposingly represented by the two airship hangars
from the year 1916.
On 27.8.2008 the NT will lift-off next to these "vete-
rans" of the English Royal Airship Works. The destination
of the tour is an airfield near The Hague, where the
Zeppelin will ceremonially be welcomed in the
Netherlands on 29.8.2008. In the evening an exclusive
dinner with the captain on the royal airfield Valkenburg
will finalise the tour for our guests.
EXCERPTS OF THE ITINERARY
Day 1– Arrivals
Arrival is planned for the afternoon of 26.8.2008. Our
driver will be waiting for the individual transportation
from the airport (London) to the hotel. After the tour
organiser’s welcoming upon arrival in the hotel there will
be sufficient time for a break before the cocktail recep-
tion later in the afternoon. Here, the official welcoming
of the guests will take place and the cruise attendants
will be introduced. Our team stands to your service and
will personally familiarise you with the subjects Zeppelin
and airship travel.
After dinner together we will get you into the mood for
your upcoming tour with a short lecture on airship history
and present the tour program including the highlights of
the following day.
Day 2 – Flight from Cardington via Calais
After breakfast we will travel together to the historical
lift-off field in Cardington. Luggage will be picked up by
the chauffeur and brought to the hotel at our destination
in Belgium in a separate vehicle.
Start of the tour is planned for 10:00 o‘clock local time.
After the Zeppelin has been disconnected from the mast it
will gently climb and turn south towards London. The air-
ship offers a marvellous view over the metropolis on the
Thames. Our cruise attendants will provide details to the
flight route and show you all the sights of interest with
explanations. On the way to Dover we will pamper you
with a small culinary delight. After passing the imposing
chalk cliffs the flight over the English channel to Calais
follows.
After approx. 3 hours in flight, the Zeppelin will land on
the airfield in Calais. Transportation to a stylish lunch is
carried out in the spacious VIP bus.
The 2nd part of the flight begins with the start at approx.
16:00 o‘clock. First the flight goes due north along the
coast passing Dunkerque and then taking east course
towards Brussels. The Zeppelin NT is planned to land near
Brussels at approx. 18:00 o‘clock.
After the transfer to the hotel the day ends with dinner
together in the hotel.
Day 3 – Brussels
Today we visit this beautiful town. Whoever is not inter-
ested in a guided tour can of course explore Brussels on
their own. You have the afternoon to yourselves.
If you prefer to experience the town more from a bird's-
eye view you have the possibility (optional) of going into
the air with the Zeppelin.
After dinner together in the hotel we will present our
guests the course of the tour from Brussels to the
Netherlands.
Day 4 – Flight from Brussels to Valkenburg
The 4th tour day begins with the transfer to the airfield
at 9:00 o‘clock. The Zeppelin NT is planned to start at
10:00 o‘clock.
North course is taken, past Antwerp up to Osterschelde.
Along the delta we will fly over the Haringvliet to
Rotterdam. The flight guests can experience unforgettable
pictures of the town, the port and the many courses of
the river, which can only be seen out of the floating
Zeppelin.
Taking a wide bow to the destination of the flight: a
landing place in the vicinity of The Hague. The airship
and the travellers are ceremoniously welcomed in the
Netherlands.
Transfer to the hotel near Valkenburg follows.
The day and the Zeppelin tour will end with an exclusive
dinner with the captain on the runway of the royal airport
Valkenburg. A welcome opportunity to reflect on the
mutual impressions of the journey and to succumb to the
fascination of the Zeppelin again.
The end of the evening will be dominated by the one-per-
son-musical "My Zeppelin" by Martin Weber about the
life's work of Hugo Eckener and the auction of the tour
card with the original entry of the crew – a unique docu-
ment which documents the start of this new chapter of
airship travelling.

Day 5– Farewell and Departures
After breakfast it is time to say goodbye. Your tour gui-
des will bid you farewell. A driver will be provided to
take you to the next train station or the Schiphol airport.

ZEPPELIN TOUR Introductory price: € 6.500 per person
incl. tax, hotel, meals and transfers.
Not included in the price are travel to London and from
Amsterdam as well as the lunch in Brussels. Deviations in
the tour planning and routes cannot be ruled out due to
prevailing weather conditions or air traffic control require-
ments.
