With this baggage in me, I kept
putting off all invitations year in and
year out from my wife, sister-in-law and
well-meaning brother and sister
cursillistas to come to a cursillo
weekend. My usual response was that I
wasn’t ready yet and only the Lord will
make it happen.

Anyway, this year my wife’s

off. God called and I responded. I was
all packed up on that Thursday morning
when my wife sensed my moment of
hesitation. She asked me if I was
absolutely sure I wanted to do it. She
said as she has said so many times

Counsel Church in San Leandro is going

dynamic members. Their participation
in almost all of the Ministries of their
Parish Church is very visible. Most are
Eucharistic Ministers, Lectors and
Members of the Music Ministry.
