• The trailer being towed is equipped with multiple clearance and running lights that may pose an increased load on the tow vehicle’s electrical system.
• I f your vehicle manufacturer cautions against adding additional loads to electrical circuits, always consult the vehicle’s owners manual when installing trailer wiring.
Without a Power Module,

all the additional power required to supply the trailer
lights (represented by the red line) pass through the
vehicle's electrical system including the fuse panel,
turn signal switch, tail light harness and lamp out
sensor, if so equipped.
With a Power Module,

the additional power required to supply the trailer
lights (represented by the green line) is supplied
directly from the battery. Only a small amount of
power is required from the fuse panel, turn signal
switch, tail light harness and lamp out sensor,
(if so equipped), to signal when to illuminate
the trailer lights.

"Over 80" Combination Tail Lights
These units meet seven or eight DOT-108 lighting requirements when properly mounted. Seven function units meet tail light, stop
light, rear turn signal light, rear reflex reflector, rear side marker light, rear side reflex reflector and rear clearance light. The
eighth function met is license plate light. Trailers over 80 inches wide require the addition of front Clearance Lights and Rear
Identification (ID) Lights. Consult Title 49 – Code of Federal Regulations-Section 571.108 (USA) or Section 108 of the Motor Vehicle
Safety Regulations (Canada) for additional compliance requirements.
"Under 80" Combination Tail Lights

These units meet six or seven DOT-108 lighting requirements when properly mounted. Six function units meet tail light, stop light,
rear turn signal light, rear reflex reflector, rear side marker light and rear side reflex reflector. The seventh function met is license

“PC” Rated Clearance/Side Marker Lights

A single unit meets DOT-108 lighting requirements and has been photometrically certified at a specific installation angle to provide
both clearance light and side marker light. In most cases, the light will have to be mounted on a 45° angle. Consult Title 49 – Code
of Federal Regulations-Section 571.108 (USA) or Section 108 of the Motor Vehicle Safety Regulations (Canada) for additional
compliance requirements to meet both functions' requirements with just one unit.
