registered for the next session.

· A copy (not the original) of your Birth Certificate or of your Identity Card or of the
pages of your passport which show your personal details.

· Copies (not originals) of all your Educational and Professional Certificates.

· Official transcripts showing details of relevant courses.

· Official translations of any documents not in English.

· A copy (not the original) of your Marriage Certificate or Deed Poll Certificate or
Decree Nisi if your name has changed.

· A passport sized photograph with your Application Number clearly written on the
back.

· I understand that my eligibility for exemptions will be based on the official
documents about my qualifications that I send to ACCA.

· I understand that I will be charged for any exemptions at the current rate for
advanced level only.

under ACCA bye-law 11 for events set out in ACCA bye-law 8 which occurred before
or after I registered.

· I understand that any past event referred to in ACCA bye-law 8 will be taken into
account in dealing with my application, but that it will not automatically stop me
becoming an ACCA Certified Accounting Technician Student.

· I declare that I have included everything ACCA needs to know.

· I wish to apply for registration as an ACCA Certified Accounting Technician Student.

· I agree that while I am registered with ACCA I will tell you about any event which
may contravene ACCA bye-law 8 and make me liable to disciplinary action.

ACCA bye-law 8
ACCA bye-law 8 sets out details of the events which could lead to disciplinary action. These
events include (but are not limited to) the following
· incompetence in carrying out your work, which discredits you, or the ACCA or the
accountancy profession

· breach of the ACCA bye-laws or regulations

· disciplinary action against you by another professional body

· bankruptcy or insolvency

· misconduct which includes (but is not limited to) any act, or failure to act, that is
likely to discredit you. The following events are conclusive proof of misconduct.

· conviction for a criminal offence by a UK court, or by a superior court of


another country, which discredits you or is derogatory to ACCA or the
accountancy profession

· a civil judgement by a UK court, or by a superior court of another country,


that you have acted fraudulently or dishonestly

Reprint Summary PDF You should expect to receive your ACCA Accounting Technician student registration pack
from ACCA within 28 days from receipt of your supporting documentation in ACCA offices in
Glasgow. However, during very busy periods around ACCA registration closing dates it may
take slightly longer.

Your student registration pack will contain the following:

- an Accounting Technician Handbook which is designed to answer any queries you may
have as a newly registered student, and further questions that may arise throughout your
ACCA student career.

- the Technician Training Record (TTR), in which you are required to keep a regular diary of
the practical experience you obtain*;

- the ACCA Accounting Technician Syllabus booklet, which sets out the syllabus, provides
guidance on how to plan your studies, contains the recommended reading texts for ACCA
examinations, describes the study materials available, and outlines ACCA's examination
regulations;

- your student registation (ID) card, showing your student registration number which must
be quoted on all written correspondence with ACCA;

- notification of your student passcode which will allow you access to the Students area of
the ACCA website and the facilities within this e.g. entering examinations, paying fees,
changing your student details and downloading Question and Answer papers for
examinations

- notification of any exemptions for which you are eligible and an invoice for the appropriate
fees. All exemption fees must be paid immediately and you can pay these on - line using

- notification of the details we have recorded for you at registration.


When your registration pack arrives, if any of this information is omitted please advise the
ACCA Glasgow office immediately.

Your first copy of the monthly Students' Newsletter and CAT bulletin will be sent to you
shortly after registration. This may arrive prior to your student registration pack, depending
on the time of the month at which your supporting documentation is received at ACCA

The Bulletin and Students' Newsletter are particularly important as they carry information
relating to examinations, which will help you when you are studying particular papers. It also
contains articles that relate directly to your examinations.

Throughout your student career, you will receive regular correspondence from ACCA. If there
is anything you do not understand, you can call any of ACCA's offices to have your query
answered.

* Students who have gained relevant work experience prior to registration are advised to
complete their TTR as soon as possib le and have this experience verified b y the
appropriate employer(s).
