2008 - 2009 Participated in various Capture The Flag style hacking contests. In the process, I
learned many aspects of network security and operating system. Team bi0s from our
university was the only team from India to have participated in any international CTF

2008 Founding member of Sun Club, Amritapuri (now FOSS Club), a student club at our Uni-
versity that provides a platform for discussing on various Free and OpenSource technolo-
gies. The club was started as an initiative to drive the Free and OpenSouce movement
in the college.

Undergraduate Thesis
2009 December - Bachelor’s theisis work entitled “Formal specification and verification of embed-
2010 May ded software: A case study using TLA+” at AVVP. Constructed a formal spec-
ification of peripheral hardware subsystems of an industrial strength microcontroller
that has automotive and medical applications and also proved that the formal hardware
specification can be used for formal verification of embedded software specifications.
Received ‘A’ grade.
Selected Projects
2009 June Specially designed School OS for school children in collaboration with NCERT and
IIT Delhi (part of Sun Microsystems efforts to spearhead the rise of open-source in the
primary & secondary education system of India). Installed School OS in NCERT Lab
at New Delhi.
2009 February - April Implemented an instant messaging application to send, receive and view messages/mail
between users registered to that application. Led a team of four where my role was
designing the front-end (HTML, Javascript) and a back-end. The project was aimed at
increasing our skills in internet programing.
2007 November - As a part of Sun’s Code for Freedom Contest, I made bug fix contributions to OpenSolairs
2008 February codebase (Solaris Nevada). The bugs were integrated into Solaris Nevada. In this
process, I gained a lot of knowledge of how files are organised in an operating system
and how to build the source code of Solaris. During this time, I also wrote a simple
documentation on how to build the Solaris Nevada which was not available at that time.

2007 July - August As a personal project and out of my interest towards web technologies and php, I de-
veloped a web portal using WAMP (Windows Apache MYSQL PHP). This was tested
