The National Investment Banking Conference and Competition 2011 is one of the nation’s
largest and most prestigious investment banking conferences in Canada. As a delegate,
you will take part in a plethora of stimulating events from spectacular keynotes delivered
by leading industry professionals, to workshop sessions, an interactive trading simulation,
a live final round of the competition, the gala dinner, networking events and more!
With the conference fast approaching, the Organizing Committee would like you to make
preference indications for the Trading Simulation and several workshop selection choices.
The Trading Simulation by MDA Training is taking place on the first day of the conference
and is set to provide you with a greater appreciation and understanding of investment
banking, sales, trading, and research. This engaging and challenging simulation requires
students to take on a role of a sales person, trader, market maker, client or researcher.
We would like for you to rank in order of preference which role you would be most
interested in playing.
The Corporate Finance and Capital Markets Workshop Series will be held on the second
day of the conference. There will be three workshop sessions. Delegates will have to
choose which workshop they would most like to participate in for each session. You are
only allowed to attend one workshop per session.
Please refer to the detailed descriptions of the roles and the workshops in the following
pages. Read the information thoroughly then follow the link to the Selection Form. It is
mandatory for you to fill out the form completely by the 11th of January and we’ll do our
best to accommodate your preferences and to maximize your experience at NIBC.
We are looking forward to welcoming you next week at what will truly be the most
memorable delegate experience Vancouver has to offer you!
