Dear Rednecks, “Patriots” and “New Age Racists”:

Please be advised at 5:30 pm on May 16, 2006, I will speak to the Tucson
City Council, congratulate the Tucson Police Department for their sterling
performance in Armory Park on April 10, 2006, and desecrate Mexican Flags in
the public square.

I’ve rejected numerous offers of support from Neo-Nazi, Nativist, Redneck

and “Patriot” groups who claim they are on “my side” of the illegal alien issue; big
mouth guys waving confederate flags, ready to pick up guns and “get it on” with
the police, Communists, Mexicans, the New World Order, United Nations, the
politicians who have sold us out, yadda-yadda, etc.

Now, listen up you “Patriots” and other right wing goofballs: I’m presently
engaged in lawful political speech. I will not tolerate your lawlessness or bigotry.

The Rule of Law protects me—and the friendships I now have with some of
America’s most powerful: federal judges, prosecutors, and 9th Circuit Appellate
Court Judges, going back to the time we attended classes at UC Berkeley and ‘got
it on’ as young radicals in the revolutionary 1960’s.

My hero is Martin Luther King, and the great revolution he started in the
late 1950’s: the American Civil Rights Movement. King derived his power from
the power of speech. King sought, and received, federal court protection from the
hatred and anger of the southern “establishment”: bigots who ran southern legal
and political institutions, who (justifiably) feared the power of King’s voice would
create revolutionary social change.

Now, it’s come full circle. The “New Age Racists”, who now dominate Pima
County legal and political institutions, have become “the establishment.” Under
the name of “cultural diversity”, they use local legal and political institutions to
divide our community along racial and ethnic lines to achieve the express goals of
“La Raza”. These bigots, (justifiably) fear the power of my voice and Mexican Flag
Burnings will create revolutionary political change and halt their effort to subvert
America.

Bigots always fear free discussion. Bigots know free debate and the free
exchange of ideas will keep government responsive to the will of the people. They
know the right to speak freely, to commit symbolic acts like Mexican Flag
Burnings and to promote the diversity of ideas is one of the chief distinctions that
sets us apart from totalitarian regimes.

So, listen up Isabel Garcia, local politicians, attorneys and all “New Age
Racists” who fear my ideas. The express purpose of my conduct, Mexican Flag
Burnings and speech is to “invite dispute…induce conditions of unrest, create
dissatisfaction with (social) conditions as they are, and even stir people to anger.
Speech is often provocative and challenging. It may strike at prejudices and
preconceptions and have profound unsettling effects as it presses for acceptance
of an idea.” Terminiello v City of Chicago, 337 U.S. 1(1949).

And listen up all you Rednecks and “Patriots”. Now that the left wing fear
my ideas, the Rule of Law, federal judges, and my Glock will protect me. Those
who oppose my speech fear the power of words and ideas; the power of words
and ideas, not violence, will effect political change in America.

I will not tolerate unlawful conduct or violence of any sort. I will not
tolerate threats of imminent deadly force, from the left wing or right. If I see
anyone about to commit a deadly act against a counter demonstrator, or a
member of La Raza who lawfully speaks his mind, I will not hesitate to draw my
weapon and blow their freaking head off.
