Thereafter, PDAs shall refer these cases to the respective 'Pension Sanctioning
Authorities (PSAs), in the enclosed Annexure, for determining and authorizing the
entitlement of minimum guaranteed pension/family pension, if found beneficial in terms
of Para 5 of this Ministry's above said letter dated 11.11.2008. PSAs shal1 also inform
to the PDAs in cases where the entitlement of minimum guaranteed pension/ family
pension is found not beneficial. A copy of such authorization/ communication may
invariably be endorsed to the pensionel's concerned for their information.

TABLE-2 FAMILY PENSION

Note 1- The pension of Pre-2006 TA Officers is required to be revised by Pension Disbursing Agencies in terms of
Annexure-1 read with Para 4 of GOl, MOD letter No. 17(4)/2008(1)/D(Pen/Pol) dated 11.1'l .2008. However, in
case the pension so consolidated happens to be less than the amount lndicated in the Table above, the pension
protection as indicated in this Table will be given.

Note 2- The qualifying service indicated in Table-1 above is the actual qualifying service, and the amount of pension
indicated therein also indicates the pension without weightage in terms of Note(2) below para 5(b) of this
Ministry's letter No. 1(6)/98/D(Pen/Ser)dated 3.2.98 .

Note 3- Rates of pension at Table-1 above have been shown for qualifying service of 10 years and above as Armed Forces
personnel is entitled for invalid pension after 10 years of qualifying service. ln order to cover all conceivable
situation, revised pension with as low as 10 year qualifying service has been shown in this Table even for such
senior ranks as Brigadiers/Colonel even though such cases may nol occur in reality.

Disbursing Agencies in terms of Annx-1 read with Para 4 of GOl, MOD letter No
17(A)EOAB(1)/D(pen/policy) dated 11.11.2008. However, in case the pension so consolidated happens to
be less than the amount indicated in the Table above, the pension protection as as indicated in this Table
will be given.

Note 2- While the qualifying service indicated in Table-1 above is the actual qualifying service, the amount of
pension indicated is inclusive of weightage as admissible in terms of Fara s(bxii) of this Ministry's
tetter No. 1(6)/98/D(Pen/Ser) dated 3.2.98 amended vide GOl, MOD letter No. PCD/39028/AG/PS-
