Project Summary

A. NAME OF THE FIRM

The name CHOCO-PEANUT YEMA BALLS was derive from the


physical appearance of this yema which is made of the main ingredients,
peanut and cocoa.

B. LOCATION

The product which is Choco-Peanut Yema Balls was made at


Geronimo’s house who is one of our members, located at Caloocan City.

C. BRIEF DESCRIPTION

We decided to make a product which is the Choco_Peanut Yema Balls

2. Nature or kind of Product and Industry

Our product is a combination of chocolate and peanut flavor to
produce a delicious food named Choco Peanut Yema Balls. This idea all
started when we had been in a grocery store and we saw this kind of
recipe in one of a condensed milk can. We tried it and we finally realize
that it taste good and it really satisfy every taste of our customer. Then we
all agree and decided to generate this kind of product. It is also easy to
prepare and it does not consume so much time.

3. Management aspect

The business that we have conducted is just a simple business for


young student as their preparation and training. The people involve in
making the product are Maricar Geronimo, Jonalyn Sanchez, and Melissa
Ramirez. During the selling of this product, the Choco-peanut Yema balls,
all members of the group had participated.

D. HIGHLIGHTS OF MAJOR ASSUMPTIONS

1. Market Projection for

a. Why this is our product?


We choose this product because, we know that we can able to earn
profit this kind of product. One of our reasons is because it is easy to
make and we don’t have to spend too much money but we can gain more.

b. Why this is our price?


We sell our product by 15pesos each pack (or 3pesos each). Our
price is base on what we have spent. The total money that we have spent,
divided by number of product that we have produce.

c. Where do we sell this product?

We sell this product in our school (PUP). Because we know that
many of our schoolmates can afford the price of our product.
d. Where do we get our capital to produce that product?
We just get our capital by what we have called “ambagan”.
We put it as one to meet our needs. The materials that we need
to produce it.

2. Investment cost

The small venture such as the proposed business of the group


required a small amount of investment. To be able to conduct the
feasibility study, the researchers decided to solicit funds among
themselves. The group has eighteen members and each contributed
fourteen pesos which totaled to two hundred and fifty pesos. The
accumulated funds covered the direct, indirect and overhead expenses of
the project. It also provide for a safety margin that was used for other
possible incidental expenses.
The group’s expenses mainly consisted of the ingredients and
packaging of the product. With regards to the promotion and labor costs,
the researchers did not have to allot funds for it since the group
members themselves promoted and sold their own product to their target
market, the students body.

3. Methods of financing

a. Financing Aspect (Sources of Finances)


Choco –Peanut Yema Company finance its operation through the
used o fit own capital contributed by the owners themselves. The
company chooses not to borrow money from creditors to lessen their
responsibility and concentrate more its production.
This technique of financing the business is done because the
company believes that, financing the company through the use of its own

capital would generate more profits rather than financing it through the
used of debt, thus making the company more successful.
The owners of the company have contributed 14php/each, with
equal shares in the income generated. Any excess in the income after
distributed will be given to the person who volunteers himself in the
operation of the business.

b. Budgeting
Allocating the cash or capital on hand of the company would mean
success for the company. Therefore, we budget our capital according to
their importance in generating profits. We economize our capital properly
without decreasing the quantity of production that will be produced. By all
means we give priority to the main ingredients of the product to increase
its quality and nutrition content. The packaging is done accurately and
very presentable without increasing the cost of doing it.

c. Financial Statements
This statement of financial aspect of the company gives the owners
an overview on the company’s financial position. It also helps the
company to decide about financial matters. It also gives the owners
security and information about the position of their money invested in the
company.

E. Summary of findings and conclusions on:

1. Marketing Feasibility

a. Objectives of the market study


To describe the type of the market, demand and supply or the
survey, market program, prices existing in the market, and the market
intended to offer.

b. Market description
It is a small type of business where we sell a sweet yema coated
with chocolate. At first, the status growth of our business is so slow
because only few students are interested to buy our product but as they
taste our product and found out that it is so delicious many students
bought it and even those in the faculty.

c. Demand and Supply


Based on the survey we had, students are all wanted something
sweet with a taste that is unfamiliar to them. So, we decided to make a
sweet yema coated with chocolate. e Wmade this product because we
had an assurance that it will demand to the consumers and we planned to
have a supply of this product based on the survey we had.

d. Prices existing in the market


This coated yema can be buy for 5 pieces for P15 .00 or P3.00
each.

e. Channel of distribution
We are planning to sell this product to the students and faculty of
Polytechnic University of the Philippines especially to the Banking and
Finance students and faculty.

f. Market intended to offer


Our business also planning to have different yema coated with
different kinds of fruits, not only chocolate but with a variety of flavors in
the form of fruits.

2. Technical feasibility

This is the procedure of making choco peanut yema balls:
Choco Peanut Yema Balls

Ingredients
1 can condensed milk
unsweetened cocoa powder
peanut (grind)
butter or margarine
colored cellophane (for packaging)

Procedure

1. Heat the pan and melt the butter.


2. Put the condensed milk.
3. Put also the unsweetened cocoa powder.
4. Mix it thoroughly and let it boil.
5. When you see that it is already done and the mixed ingredients
were cooked, remove it from the pan.
6. Set it aside and let it cool.
7. Form the yema into a balls and roll it into the grind peanut to cover
the yema balls.
8. Wrap it in colored cellophane in any style you want.

You can eat this delicious Choco Peanut Yema balls anytime you want.

3. Financial feasibility

The group falls under small-scale business. The initial capital of the
group came from the equal contribution of the members. The net income
was distributed equally among the members.

CONCLUSION

We can say that a choco-peanut yema ball is capable of being


accomplished or we can say that it is feasible as a business. As we prepared
this product, we make it sure that the consumers would like its sweet taste
and affordable price. We conclude that this is a viable business because we
gained profit after we conducted and sold this yema balls. From the profit we
had and the capital we contributed, we prepared another set of choco-peanut
yema balls and sold it to our co-students and professors.

F. RECOMMENDATIONS

We recommend our homemade product, the Choco-peanut Yema
Balls to all students, utilities, and professor of our university and to people
who can afford to buy it. This is recommended to all ages and gender who
loves to eat an extraordinary taste of yema which they will never forget in their
whole lives. Once you taste it, you will forget everything, even your name
because of the unique and delicious taste of it. Aside of unique taste, it is also
affordable with the price of P15 per pack.
