CARIBBEAN CRUISE LINE CRUISES TO PARADISE IN THE BAHAMAS

Admit it: Just saying the word “Bahamas” puts a smile on your face. And that’s good practice,
because when you arrive in the Bahamas on Bahamas Celebration, you’ll be doing a lot of
smiling.

You board Bahamas Celebration in South Florida’s Port of Palm Beach one evening and cruise
all night through the Southern Atlantic. When you awake — or finish dancing the night away at
The View — you’ll be in the Bahamas ... ready to move to the groove of island music, rub
elbows with the friendly locals and take in any number of activities.

Grand Bahama Island, Bahamas

It doesn’t take a travel expert to know that Grand Bahama Island is something special. All it
takes is a few moments to absorb the view, breathe the fresh air, wiggle your toes in the sand
and gaze upon the crystal-blue sea. You won’t be alone in your assessment though: In 2008, it
was named as one of the Caribbean’s best destinations in the Travelers’ Choice Destination
Awards.

What will you do on Grand Bahama Island? With attractions of historical and cultural
significance, modern activities, stunning natural beauty, friendly Bahamians anxious to get to
know you and 52 miles of sandy beaches, you’ll easily find an activity that’s the perfect fit.

Young and old alike will delight in discovering the wonders held within the sea. SCUBA divers of
all experience levels will be awed by the crystal-clear water, vibrant reefs and plethora of fish.
Even if you’re not certified, you’ll enjoy snorkeling the shallow reefs, where you’ll readily
appreciate the colorful coral and curious fish. Numerous dive and snorkel trip operators are
available on Grand Bahama Island, and we believe that taking a trip with one of these
professionals is the best way to maximize your enjoyment below the sea. If looking at the fish
isn’t your speed, take to the waters with a fishing guide and get ready for some of the best
fishing of your life. Something’s always in season in the Bahamas, and Grand Bahama Island is
known for its outstanding fishing opportunities. You’re only a few miles to the deep water, and
your line will be in before you know it. Or, try fly fishing and take to the flats in search of the
bonefish.

Don’t worry — there’s plenty to keep the kids busy on Grand Bahama Island, too. Take the
family kayaking or bowling, and discover a bond you haven’t felt in years. For a less organized
activity, search for shells on a secluded beach. Who will find the most perfect shell?

You’re never too far from a beach on Grand Bahama Island. The hard part is finding the one
that’s perfect for you. Here are some of our favorites:

Fortune Beach
This quiet beach is just five miles from Port Lucaya Marketplace. It’s named for a shipwreck
with more than $2 million in bounty that was discovered on it.
Gold Rock Beach
Visit this secluded treasure at low tide, when it’s truly picture perfect. You may recognize it —
it’s been featured in many ads for the Bahamas. Once the tide comes in, head across the street
to visit Lucayan Caverns, the largest of their kind in the world.

Lucayan Beach
The social scene picks up at this beach, which is just across from Port Lucaya Hotel. Here you’ll
find activities to suit everyone, including snorkeling, jet skiing and parasailing.

Mather Town Beach

Just three miles from Port Lucaya, Mather Town Beach gives you a great chance to get to know
some of the colorful locals as you swim, eat and drink the day away.

Paradise Cove Beach

Travel 15 miles from Freeport’s International Bazaar and discover Paradise Cove Beach. You’ll
enjoy the quiet seclusion of this beach as you snorkel — it offers direct and easy access to
Deadman’s Reef — or play beach volleyball with locals and tourists alike.

Smith's Point Beach

Located in Lucaya, next to Taino Beach, you’ll want to head to Smith’s Point Beach on
Wednesday night for its famous fish fry!

Taino Beach
If you have children, take them to Taino Beach, which has a small playground. If you’re traveling
during the holidays, you’ll likely see many locals enjoying a cookout here.

William's Town Beach

Head into William’s Town Settlement and you’ve found the beach. At this happening beach,
you can take banana boat rides, rent a snorkel or jet ski or just stroll the length of the beach
and enjoy the beauty.
