INDUSTRY INSTITUTE INTERFACE

Infosys Campus-Connect Program

GTBIT has signed MOU with Infosys for being a part of its
Campus-Connect Program (An Academia-Industry
Program).
What is Campus-Connect?
Launched by Infosys in May 2004, CC is a unique
academia-industry initiative to:

“Architect the education experience”.

Benefits to GTBIT for being a part of CC:

Infosys will help to align the college curriculum with the
industry‟s requirements, work with educational bodies
towards implementing it.

We organize seminars and training sessions for the faculty

to give them an industry perspective, enabling them to
train the students accordingly.
IBM Software Centre of
Excellence

Guru TeghBahadur Institute of Technology has

collaborated with IBM and established an „IBM
Software Centre of Excellence (COE)‟ in its
campus.

With this collaboration IBM will train Institute‟s

students/faculty and build a skilled resource
base on leading software technologies, which
are high-value skills beyond simple programming
or system administration.

Institute has provided the infrastructure and

high-end systems while IBM is providing the
entire software suite to the institute.
Microsoft IT Academy

Microsoft has set up 'Microsoft IT Academy'. The program provides

educators with the tools they need to effectively train students on
Microsoft technologies, prepare students for the global economy, and
create a skilled community. This program offers curricula, courseware,
and online learning for students focused on a profitable career path, life-
long learning, and Microsoft certification. Through this alliance, students
can get Microsoft licensed software for limited academic use free of cost.
Besides, Institute‟s students as well as faculty will also get facilities and
exposure to Microsoft Certifications.
Training & Placement Department

The thrust ofthe Training and Placement department is towards

providing the students a platform for interaction with the corporate
world and also to help improve the all-round personality of the students.
These aims are achieved through lectures, workshops, seminars,
information about career opportunities, aptitude tests, communication
enhancement lectures, group discussions, interviews, pre-placement
talks, debates, preparing professional curriculum vitae etc.
Industrial Visits:
Visits are organized to various industries to help students expand their
academic and technical horizons. These are excellent opportunities for
students to gain exposure to real-life work environments and cultures.

Summer Training:
As a part of the curriculum students undergo two different
training programmes:
 In-house training programme : six weeks (after 4th
semester)
 Summer training : eight weeks (after 6th semester)
Facilities for Recruiters

 Company login to check all submitted resumes online at

http://www.gtbitplacements.in
 Conference Halls of capacity 500 for conducting pre-
placement talks, analytical tests.
 Group discussion and personal interview rooms.
 Student volunteers for all possible arrangements on the
day of visit.
