saved.

Clicking on this button closes the

window.
Settings or parameters which have
been changed in the window are
not saved.

Note:
If the VMS/FMS or ETAMATIC is disconnected from the PC while the software is in
setup mode, the operating mode changes to STOP after the monitoring time has
expired (time-out). The monitoring time (time-out) can be set using the parameter 828.
As of version 4 of the FMS/VMS and ETAMATIC, the connection to the PC can be
terminated in setup mode without first having to switch off the system. To do so, the
connection to the PC must be changed from online mode to offline mode. The query
"Synchronize Data With FMS To Ensure Data Integrity?" must be confirmed with
"Yes". Further information is given under the menu command "Connect/Offline".

Note: if the dead band is small, fast motors may overshoot.

35
"Timeout for reaching dead band":
Maximum runtime of the actuators. If this time is exceeded, the burner shuts down.

"band shift":
The band shift acts on the actuators in order to generate excess air when a change in load occurs. The
effect on the actuators depends on their function: The control variable for air is increased and the control
variable for fuel is decreased. The value for the band shift depends on the effect of the actuator on the
lambda value. The value is entered in digits.

On setpoint: The value for the band shift is added to or subtracted from the setpoint. This setting is
recommended for constant outputs and actuators with a linear characteristic.
On load: the value for the band shift is added to or subtracted from the load value. The modified setpoint is
obtained from the modified load value via the setpoint curve. This setting is recommended for actuators with
a non-linear or exponential characteristic.
