Restrictions and Notes
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- When using the PCL6 printer driver on Windows 2000, color printing is disabled
in some environment. This restriction also applies to use of the PCL6 mini dri
ver on Windows 2000. In this case, select [Black and White] on the [Paper/Quali
ty] tab before printing. When [Color] remains selected, printing may be counted
as color print.
- When using the PCL6 printer driver on MFP models other than the e-STUDIO6530C,
4520C and 3510c Series, [Color] is selected on the [Paper/Quality] tab. Howeve
r, printing is actually performed in B&W mode.
- When using the PCL6 printer driver on Windows Vista, an error sheet may be out
put after printing an original where an "@"-prefixed font is specified or text i
s rotated. This is a restriction on Windows Vista. This restriction can be wor
ked around by installing Service Pack1 or later Service Pack.
- Although [e-Filing] is disabled on the MFP, the [Store to e-Filing] function c
an be selected in the [Print Job] settings on the [Options] tab of this printer
driver. However, the settings are not stored in the MFP.
- On Windows Vista, you cannot store the [Pages per Sheet], [Booklet] and [Draw
Borders] functions in [Profile].
- When printing is done with 6-in-1 settings using the following paper, the [Sta
ple], [Hole Punch] and [Store to e-Filing] functions do not work properly, and t
he Preview is different from the actual printout:
Legal, Ledger, Statement, 13'' LG, 8.5'' SQ, Folio, J Post Card
- [Staple] and [Hole Punch] set on this printer driver may be disabled depending
on your MFP model or attached optional units. For information about usable [St
aple] and [Hole Punch] functions, see the operator fs manual for your MFP.
- When printing is performed on the e-STUDIO451c Series, thin lines in some orig
inals may not be printed. In this case, select [On] for [Distinguish Thin Lines
] in the [Advanced Options] dialog box.
- How to Add a Point and Print (Windows Server - Client) Printer Driver
<To add a 64-bit or 32-bit driver on Windows Server 2003>
1. Share the printer on the [Sharing] tab of the printer driver, and click [Ad
ditional Drivers] to select "x64" or "x86."
2. Select a file whose extension is .INF in the printer driver (x64 or x86) pa

4. (If the client CD used to select the driver package in step 2 above has bee
n removed from the drive) insert the CD into the drive again and designate the x
64 or x86 printer driver location.
<To add a 64-bit or 32-bit driver on Windows Vista and onwards>
[Preparation] Copy the "ntprint.inf_********" folder in the "%SYSTEMROOT%\syst
em32\DriverStore\FileRepository" folder on the Vista client to the Vista server
or allow users to share the folder.
1. Share the printer on the [Sharing] tab of the printer driver, and click [Ad
ditional Drivers] to select "x64" or "x86."
2. Select a file whose extension is .INF in the printer driver (x64 or x86) pa
ckage.
3. Windows media (x64 processor) or Windows media (x86 processor) is required.
Open the "ntprint.inf_********" folder in the Vista client and select the "ntp
rint.inf" file.
4. Click [OK].
- When using the [Store to e-Filing] function, nothing can be stored in the box
to which password "00000" has been set.
- When printing an original that contains any @-prefixed font, on the e-STUDIO45
1c Series, specific characters may be rotated on the output. In this case, use
