What is credit scoring?
A lender may use the information on your credit report, along with the
information you provide on an application form, to give you a credit
score. The lender will use this credit score to assess the risk of offering
you credit.

The previous occupants of your address cannot affect your credit score.
Also, credit scores do not take account of your sex, religion, race,
political beliefs, sexuality or criminal record.

confirm your name and address quickly. It means they can
check that you live at the address you give on your appli-

laundering by checking that your address is correct. The
address shown on the electoral roll is the version used by
your local authority.
