It is one among the most productive ventures of the group. Swastik Oil Industries is the first plant
featuring complete de-waxing facility to process the crude sunflower oil and is the first to launch the
Fortification of Vitamin 'A' oil in the edible oils in Nepal, which has achieved a great success in the
market.

Swastik Oil Industries manufacturers Refined Oil, Soyabean, Sunflower, Corn Oil, Vegetable Ghee,
Bakery Shortening and Margarine. Marketed under the brand names of Swastik Soyabean, Dhara Health,
Swastik Health and Dhara Acrive, these superior quality products have made a remarkable impact and
leading the market amidst its competitors. Among them, Swastik Soyabean Oil and Swastik Vegetable
Ghee enjoys the distinction of having the NS marks (Nepal Standard). Swastik Vegetable Ghee is also the
major exports product of the company to India and China.

The industry also manufactures plastic jars of 2 kgs to 15 kgs for in house consumption and to cater
domestic market.

The only automated oil mills in Nepal with modern and innovative technology. The mill produces
mustard oil that is hygienically processed. Untouched by Human hands until the final packaging, the oil
here is traditionally processed to retain its aroma and flavour.
The largest selling brand of mustard oil in the country, Dhara stands alone, having won the first NS Mark
(Nepal Standard) in the mustard oil segment. Marketed under the brand names of Dhara, Swastik and
Bigul, which has become a household names in Nepal and are flavoured extensively in Nepal's star
hotels and restaurants too.

The Company is established at Birganj to meet the growing demand of oil in the country. The plant has
the seed processing capacity of 100MT per day. The company produces the brand like Swastik and Bigul
Mustard Oil.

 



Equipped with modern machinery to offer quality with the production capacity of 110 MT per day,
Vikash Flour Mill Pvt. Ltd., produces superior quality Maida, Aata, Suju and Bran (Wheat flour and its
derivatives) and supplied in the 2 kgs to 80 kgs packs. Marketed under the brand names, Gyan Chakki
Aata (NS Mark) and Aashirvaad Chakki Aata, these products have become the largest selling brands in
the country. The overall production GYAN has contributed to the success of the Group significantly. The
company also exports its products to China, India and Bangladesh, and has an annual turnover of NRs.
200 million which is expected to have a growth of 20% by 2005.




The outfit equipped with modern state-of-the-art technology, produces 50 MT of processed Dal per day.
Marketed under the brand name GYAN Masoor (Red), Ararhar, Chana and Blak Dal are the most
consumed brands in the number of households across Nepal and supplied in the packs of 1 kg to 80 kgs.
One of the largest producers of Pulses in Nepal, Gyan Food Products are extensively exported to Sri
Lanka, India and Bangladesh. The company also produces Besan in the packs of 1 kg to 2 kgs and
marketed under the brand name Aashirvaad.

Swastik Packaging Pvt. Ltd. has a state of art producing and packaging material unit in Biratnagar. This
unit caters to all kinks of packing materials required by FMCG companies, medical companies,
distilleries, etc. With state of art machinery from India and Germany, this manufacturing unit can boast
of producing world class cartons of all ranges to suit various needs. This unit has been providing cartons
for in-house consumption for leading brands like Dhara, Swastik, Dhara Health, Bigul, etc. Further more
it has major clients like Surya Nepal, Nepal Lever and leading Pharmaceutical Companies.

Containers to pack edible oils and vanaspati ghee need to be tamper-proof. At a time when
canning industry was almost unknown in Nepal. Swastik Containers Pvt. Ltd. was established to
manufacture tamper-proof tin containers in the size of 2 Kgs to 15 Kgs. The company today
produces 15,000 tins per day.




To further increase the domain of K.L. Dugar Group, a new battery plant was conceptualised to be the
most modern and technologically advanced plant in Nepal. With this vision in mind, the board of
directors of K.L. Dugar Group decided to have Dhanvi Carbide Pvt. Ltd., a modern battery plant in
Biratnagar, Nepal.

Tricell Multipurpose Battery was the flagship brand of Dhanvi Carbide Pvt. Ltd. The brand name was
launched in the R6 and R20 categories. Later an even more superior quality "Tricell Gold" was
introduced in the market. Dhanvi Carbide Pvt. Ltd. was the first battery company in Nepal to export dry
cell batteries to India. Another popular brand "999 Multipurpose" battery was also manufactured by the
industry.

Yet another revolutionary product was launched with the name "GORKHA" which symbolises bravery
and strength for the country. This brand has already become popular in the urban and rural areas of the
country.

"Mustang" battery is the latest addition to the wide range of batteries being produced by Dhanvi
Carbide Pvt. Ltd.

It has all the modest machineries in our plant with a speed of 200 cells per minute for R20 & 250 cells
per minute for R6. Our plant is working on the procedures of ISO-9001 and we have already applied of
BIS certifications.



 


Indian Railways & IRCTC Limited has appointed Orient Paradise Tours & Travels (P.) Ltd., an associated
company of K.L. Dugar Group, as their GSA (General Sales Agent) in Nepal.

Orient Paradise Tours & Travels (P.) Ltd. has also started its booking office in Birgunj, Nepalgunj,
Biratnagar to be operated from today and would expand its operation in , Bhairahawa, Pokhara, Dharan
and Janakpur in near future.

With start of this Indian Railway Reservation Ticket booking facility the citizens of Nepal, Indian citizens
living in Nepal and foreign nationals in Nepal would be highly benefited and they would be able to book
their choice confirmed Reservation Ticket easily while living in Nepal and could be saved from various
hassles they were experiencing in the past.
