Direct Export roles:

▬ Sending quotations to the clients.


▬ Making contracts & Invoices for various clients.
▬ L/C scrutinizing for Exports.
▬ EARC registration with Textile Commissioner.
▬ Preparing e-marine policy for each and every container of exports by using
insurance open cover policy Id.
▬ Co-ordinate with factory officials and follow up the Export procedures timely like
packing and stuffing the goods into containers.
▬ Negotiating with shipping Line agents and forwarders for container and trailers.
▬ Follow-up with CHAs for clearing of containers and documents (i. e Shipping Bills
and certificate of origin for Negotiation).
▬ Follow-up with forwarders for original Bill of Lading
▬ Preparing Bill of Exchange and submit in the bank for payment
▬ Making calls to the clients and agents for informing about their bills & queries
about their L/C status.
▬ Negotiating with international banks for L/C discounting and Forfeiting with best
rate in the market.
▬ Attending Banks to check the status of L/C’s, EPC and EPCFC
▬ Follow up SBI head office Mumbai at TUF`s section for interest reimbursement
quarterly and submitting the documents for the same.
▬ ECGC registration for every shipment.
▬ Regular market survey of the concerned products and their status at global
market.
▬ Taking stock position every day to prepare the direct export schedule

Merchant Export roles:

 Negotiating with yarn agents for good no of quotes and preparing sales contract
and Performa invoice for advance payment.
 Preparing the schedule for production according to the buyer preference
 Following up for container allotment and payment.
 Following up for shipping documents like SB BRC Form H

Corporate sales of yarn:

Selling the yarn in local markets like Sholapur, Mumbai, Madurai etc.

Roles and responsibilities of imports

 Making contracts with clients.


 Opening L/C’s in the Bank.
 Import Documentation.
 Follow-up with CHAs for Customs Clearance and Bill of Entry filing.
 Shipments follow up and negotiate with shipping line charges.
 Attend calls from clients, informing regarding their L/C status and payments.
 Coordinating with the factory for requirement of raw material.
 Coordinating with Pollution/ Insurance departments for Inspections/Licenses.
 Arrangement of transportation to move the containers from ICD to Factory.
