Is the workshop suitable for me? This study session is aimed at anyone who deals
with the challenges of maintaining continence, especially in the elderly, on a day to day T
basis. Including: Community and ward based RGNs, physiotherapists, OTs, care
home / nursing home staff, health care assistants and assistant practitioners. U
What will I learn? Delegates will be introduced to the specific needs the older person
may have when dealing with bladder and bowel problems. Basic skills such as urinalysis

and functional assessment will also be presented and professional responsibility for safe
guarding adults will be a key element of the programme. After the session lunch will be

served and there will be the opportunity to view one of the most extensive exhibitions of
continence products to be held in the UK.
