INTRODUCTION

Setting up a business is a very arduous and risky task. This is further compounded by

the realities of economic recession. Food-lovers as we are, we found an ally in the restaurant

business. We understand that food, as a staple, can weather the dip and troughs of a business

cycle.

The proliferation of sit-down restaurants all over the country is a major stumbling

block. On the contrary, the consumer market in Anilao, Malolos is still not maximized. The

success of a restaurant business in the area will rely on the type of service it offers. The

increasing popularity of “fish ponds turned into restaurant and resort” in the Southern part of

the country, like Cavite and Laguna proves to be a lucrative venture. As such, we decided to

bring that type of service in Anilao where there also exists substantial number of fishponds.

On top of being the first in the area, we take pride of its multiplier effects –

providing jobs and promoting the municipality’s tourism industry. But in order to reap the

economic and social benefits, we have to make sure that the business is viable and

sustainable.

This paper aims to look and analyze all the aspects of the proposed business. It covers

the management, technical, marketing and financial aspect of the restaurant.

The study comprises different aspect include Management discussion deals with

planning, organizing, staffing, controlling and directing employees. This includes

performance management model encompassing the proper handling of people of one

organization so that employees will be motivated and productive in work; incentives; and
training programs. It also includes the company’s vision and mission, organizational chart

and policies and regulation.

In the marketing aspect discussions involve market definition, competition, market

share and strategy. The technical study focuses on the offered products and services. It

illustrates the plant size and the tool and equipment needed for the operation of the business.

The last one, the financial aspect includes all the monetary flow of the business.

The proponents named the business “FISHTA SA NAYON” because the

location lot 2841Anilao, Malolos City Bulacan is relatively still a “Nayon” or

provincial. Meanwhile “FISHTA” is a play of words from the combination of FISH our

main product and FIESTA that connotes happiness.

LOCATION

The proposed establishment will be located in lot 2841 Anilao, Malolos City, Bulacan. It’s

very accessible, since it is along the national road. Ideally, the place can also target

travelling groups and backpackers looking for a place to dine

Also we choose this site because there is no existing fishpond seafood restaurant in Anilao,

so if we will try to put up this kind of business, it will be the first fishpond seafood

restaurant in Anilao.

In our logo, we portrays the Nayon which is native that is why we choose to make

this kind of logo, the nipa house, the pond and the man who catches fish. And we choose to

put two fishes inside the circle that symbolizes friendship because one cannot live on his

own. Like in our business, we want to have many customers who will patronize our services

and products. We want them to be our partner in the business.


It is colorful because we portray happiness and enjoyment.
