1. Define research. State the objectives and types of research with

suitable examples.

2. What do you mean by research process. Briefly describe the different

steps involved in research process.

3. Explain the meaning and significance of a research design.

4. Describe research design in case of exploratory/formulative and

descriptive/diagnostic studies.

5. What is sample design? Describe steps involved in sample designing.

Enumerate different types of sample design.

6. What is the meaning of measurement of research? What difference

does it make whether we measure in terms of nominal, ordinal, interval
or ratio scale? Explain with example.

7. Validity is more critical to measurement than reliability. Are you in

agreement with it ?
