help in utilize the skills I have earned at IIM Ahmedabad. My broad areas of career interests are Human
Resource Management and Organization Development.

• Have undergone considerable exposure in marketing, strategy, finance, and information systems apart from
indepth study in the field of human resource management.
• Interacted and collaborated extensively with managers having significant industry experience.
• Have 12 publications as journal articles, book chapters and cases with reputed publishers.
• Have considerable consulting, teaching and project experience.
PROGRAMME THESIS OUTLINE
• Determinants and outcomes of intention to quit of Indian IT professionals [under progress]
o Addresses the issue of attrition by assessing the determinants and outcomes of intention to quit.
o Study based on a survey of 12 major IT organizations and more than 1000 software engineers.
• To be presented at the peer reviewed conference of the Academy of Human Resource Development, USA.
LIVE PROJECT EXPERIENCE
• Texas Instruments India, Bangalore
o Case study on effective strategic human resource management. Conducted an indepth assessment of
the working of the HR department at TI and analysed the strategic linkage of HRM [Study with Prof
Manjari Singh].
o Project based paper selected for the annual conference of the Irish Academy of Management,
Dublin, Ireland and invited for a publication.
o Case used for teaching purposes at the Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad.
• Infosys Technologies India, Bangalore
o Case study and evaluation of ‘Instep Program’ – The global internship program of Infosys
Technologies.
o Published with Business Strategy Review (London Business School)
• Public Sector Restructuring and Internal Audit Board, Govt of Kerala.
o Worked as a summer intern from 10/04/2003 to 09/06/2003. Was involved in the preparation of a
“Results Based Management Framework” for the execution of a USD 125 M project on State
Level Public Enterprise (SLPE) reforms.This programme was supported by the Asian
Development Bank and Royal Embassy of the Netherlands, New Delhi.
o Was involved in the development of the Social Safety Net Schemes and developed a deputation
policy for inter PSU transfers of the employees under deputation.
• Implementations issues in Human Resource Information Systems (HRIS)
o Studied HRIS implementation issues of nine organizations. Data collected from detailed interviews
with senior HR managers were used to understand the critical issues in the planning, implementation
and post implementation review of HRIS.
• Gender issues in Information Technology Sector
o Assessed the discrimination of sotware engineers based on gender on critical dimensions. Data was
collected from five major IT organizations.
• Corporate brand image and its antecedents
o Study is an empirical investigation of corporate brand image and its impact on one stakeholder
group made up of prospective employees.
o Paper selected for presentation at the IIMA- Goizueta international conference on “Return on
Marketing Investments”
• Case on sustainability of an entrepreneurial venture
o Developed a case titled “Endeavoring to build a sustarinable enterprise: Endeavor Careers Private Limited”
o Case under review with “oikos sustainability case writing competition 2006”, Switzerland.
CONSULTING EXPERIENCE
• Ushus Technologies Ltd, Technopark, Trivandrum,Kerala.
o Developed competency based management framework for human resource management.
• Precidose Pumps Private Ltd, Ahmedabad (Member, Team of Three)
o Provided solutions for HR related issues at Precidose Pumps. The assignment enabled evaluation,
diagnosis and intervention of management issues in a small scale enterprise. HR systems for the
organizations were developed and a hands on approach was taken for implementing the same.
• Divya Bhaskar (Member, Team of Three)
o Provided market development strategies for Divya Bhaskar – the #2 vernacular newspaper in
Gujarat. Proposed Branding strategies that were well received and accepted as a lead point for
marketing initiatives. Changes suggested in the positioning strategy were responsible for a
perceptional change amongst advertising agencies and customer segments.
• Public Sector Restructuring and Internal Audit Board, Government of Kerala
o Involved as a resource person in strategy/HR issues of the consulting wing of the Public Sector
Restructuring and Internal Audit Board.
ENTREPRENEURIAL INITIATIVE

o Part of a three member partnership venture “Vision Consultants”.
o The website was designed as a credible source of information on MBA degree course and the
Common Aptitutde Test (CAT).
o Since launch in 16 May, 2005 it has attracted more than 100000 hits and has a hit rate of more than
1000 per day. Favorable reviews of the website appeared in The Hindu Businessline, Readers
Digest, Aaj Tak, Indian Express, and Career Economy Magazine.
