EXECUTIVE SUMMARY

The corporate exposure and learning was done at SCDCC bank limited,
Mangalore. The study was conducted in two parts. In the first part a detailed study of
the company profile was done with reference to 7-s model McKinsey. The product
profile, organization structure and the balance sheet analysis using various ratios.

In the second part, the study was done on the problem faced by SCDCC bank
Ltd. The problem was related to “Credit appraisal and monitoring of agricultural
credit at SCDCC”. The purpose of the study is to know the credit appraisal method by
the bank.

OBJECTIVES OF THE STUDY

• To understand the method of credit appraisal of SCDCC bank.


• To know the different type of agriculture loan and the rate of interest charged to
those loans.
• To know the different schemes provided by the bank.
• To know the repayment period and recovery procedure and to analyze recovery
position of bank.
• To analyze the amount of total agriculture loans advanced, comparison of Kissan
credit loan, and medium term loans as against total loan advanced, procedure
followed by bank for granting loan.

Duration of the Study:

10 weeks

Methodology:

The study is based on collection of both primary data secondary data.


Primary data:

Primary data was collected through direct interview with concerned authority,
personal discussion, interview and data from reports.

Secondary data:

Secondary data is collected through journal, company records, textbooks and


websites.
