Ropeholders,

By God's grace, we baptized 32 people last week!!! In our Greater Grace Church of
Nallasopara, north of Mumbai!! Rejoice with us!!!
On Sunday morning April 3rd, 18 women and 14 men were baptized, and we had a
great church picnic at the beach afterwards.
(so many of Bethany's disciples in her ladies bible study were baptized!)

Our ministry partner, Ganesh and wife Sindu were so happy to finally see such
miraculous fruit. They really care for all these new believers, and daily counsel them
through their problems. Bethany and I teach God's Word and minister there 3 or 4
times a week, yet Ganesh and Sindu are the key. I am focusing on mentoring
Ganesh and key disciples, Ram Prasad, Praveen, Pradeep, Jamnadas, Anil, and many
other names you may have difficulty to pronounce, Ha!!
(Also, continue discipling Alan Muhammed and Surya, young college age believers in
Christ I have been investing in the last few years.)

After the Baptisms, we had our normal church service Sunday night and I am teaching
through the book of Genesis. The next week I also taught a special focus on Biblical
"child rearing" and disciplining your children in a godly way, etc.

Then from Monday Apr. 4th to Friday April 8th, I was in ORISSA, where Christians are
persecuted very much, just south of Calcutta in east India.
I continued to mentor Pradeep, our pastor there, and taught 13 Bible college
students all day long each day that week.
The Orissa Bible college students are mostly young pastors who have paid a price for
their faith in Christ. In 2008, many of them had their churches destroyed by mobs of
Hindus, and their homes destroyed too. They had to run into the forests to escape
and eat leaves and nuts and whatever they could find for a few days before the
United Nations and govt officials calmed down the persecution.

I told the Orissa pastors that they should be teaching me, and not me teaching
them!!!!!

Still, they enjoyed my teaching sessions on "How God trains Leaders" from indepth
looks at the lives of Joshua, Joseph, David and Apostle Paul and Timothy, etc. I also
taught most of the Book of Romans, with New Testement doctrine, and one day I
taught the entire book of Revelation!!!
They had many questions. I taught Grace and Billy Graham and Jesus Christ!! (Billy
Graham's ministry is an example for us of how God uses men to reach the world, etc)
Each evening after dark, they took me out to home bible studies in the city, and I had
warm receptions wherever I went in public. The persecution has calmed down, praise
God.

While I was teaching in Orissa, our Pastor in Katmandu, Nepal, ( Pastor Rajan) he was
flown by my friends from Heartland Baptist in Harrisonville, MO. tohelp them share
Christ with Bhutan and Nepal refugees in Kansas City, Kansas with the goal of starting
a new church there. Pastor Rajan did a great job helping David Pierce and Pastor
Brian Hedges, and speaking at their Vision Conference at HBF. Now Pastor Rajan is
spending a week in our home church in Baltimore with Greater Grace before he flies
back to Nepal.

We are all so grateful for the support that has come in for the Hope Family
Orphans there in Katmandu, Nepal, and under God's care and John Shaw's leadership
along with Pastor Rajan and his wife, the 12 orphans are growing more healthy
physically and spiritually. More "regular" support for the Hope Family Orphans are
needed, and the one time gifts help as well.
I personally feel responsible for them, along with all of our church in Katmandu, and
Bethany and I will be there again in June for more investment into their lives.
