Heavy Equipment Operator Training
Prerequisites: 18+ with current drivers license.
Using the nationally recognized curricula accredited by the National Center for Construction Education and
Research, NCCER, students will learn to safely operate and maintain heavy construction equipment. Utilizing state-
of-the-art simulators, teacher-led classroom instruction and hands-on field operation, students will be able to test
for NCCER proficiency. Pieces of equipment include, but are not limited to backhoes, tractor-scrapers, bulldozers,

This nine-month course covers curriculum that includes physics, anatomy, patient care, and safety procedures
for performing an MRI. The training is structured in an independent, self-study format, with direction from Autry
radiography faculty. Hands-on experience is provided with an experienced MRI technologist. Graduates take a
certifying examination to become a registered technologist in magnetic resonance imaging, RT(MR). Applicants
must be ARRT registered or registry eligible in radiography, nuclear medicine or radiation therapy.

Respiratory Therapists (RT) are highly trained medical staff who work with patients who need assistance
with respiratory or cardiopulmonary problems. An R.T. is proficient in the therapeutic use of medical gases,
humidification, mechanical ventilation, artificial airways, chest physiotherapy and CPR. As a health care specialist,
the RT may also be instrumental in the diagnosis, treatment and preventive care of patients with asthma,
pulmonary emphysema, pulmonary edema and respiratory distress. Upon program completion, a student
may test for Certified Respiratory Therapist credentials, Oklahoma License, and is eligible for the advanced level
examination to become a Registered Respiratory Therapist.

This program prepares students for employment in the cosmetology field by teaching the curriculum, skills, and
work behaviors as set by the Oklahoma State Board of Cosmetology. Students practice haircutting and styling,
coloring, and permanent waving as well as manicuring, pedicuring and performing facials. These skills are practiced
in a model salon/lab setting. To become a licensed cosmetologist, students must pass the Oklahoma State Board
written and practical exam with a score of at least 75% on each.

Includes oxyacetylene cutting and welding, arc and MIG welding. Explore the techniques of uniting common and

preparation for the structure or pipe certification exam. Certification test fee for an on-site test is not included in
tuition. Certification test is a separate fee.

Prerequisite: Technician Level Auto Mechanics.
This hands on class will teach Auto Technicians the basics of Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) installation operations.
The curriculum will review the state rules and regulations on CNG. Students have the option to take the state
certification test at the end of the class. Certification Test Fee is separate. Test fee ($50)and certification fee ($50) to be
paid by the student with check or money order to DSC/AFP.

This course provides students with training to repair or replace auto body parts using hand and power tools.
Students also learn to refinish surfaces through painting or spot painting. Some topics covered are safety, welding
and cutting techniques, identification and analysis of damage, measuring and texturing systems, and refinishing
from minor repairs to total paint jobs.

Learn repair and maintenance procedures on all types of air-cooled gasoline engines from Instructor James
Tauber, Tauber Small Engine Repair. Types of equipment include walk-behind lawn mowers, edgers, riding lawn
mowers, string trimmers and chain saws. Ignition, fuel, and compression troubleshooting will be emphasized.
Bring your own projects and supply your own parts to make repairs.
