The floods in Pakistan were a national tragedy we all  Date of Distribution:16 Sep 2010

international TV networks. During this disaster we re-
sponded by working with our sister charity Qaaf Wel-
fare Foundation., to provide emergency provisions of
food water and medicine to the flood survivors.

The scale of the disaster was even, in comparison with


the tsunamis , earthquakes and hurricanes of the last 6.5+9.1

theories were thrown around about why this response
was not forthcoming – in addition to the now familiar
"donor fatigue", there was the added element, particular
to Pakistan, of "image deficit" (a phrase that encom-
passed both a lack of sympathy for the Pakistanis who
were suffering and lack of trust that anyone in Paki-
stan's government would correctly allocate humanitar-
ian donations, never mind that those donations could
go directly to the world's most reputed aid agencies.

Qaaf aid has built over 50 water wells in the last 3 years in Africa and Kashmir
helping thousands of people with clean fresh water for drinking ,cleaning ,cooking
and for their livestock .

Qaaf Aid is currently supporting over 644 orphans, accommodating many of these in sheltered accommoda-
tion providing them with food, shelter ,education and emotional support, from Africa to Asia and the Middle
East. This program has been running for the last two and half years and will continue running inshallah with
your help and support .Unfortunately due to the current economic climate new child Sponsorship has been
declining across all charity sectors. Please help us to maintain this worthy cause as we have hundreds of or-
