Annual Leave Policy

Unless specified otherwise, employees referred to in this policy mean permanent full-time employees.
Employees serving the probation period will not be qualified for any paid leave.

All planned leave has to be mutually agreed, and take into account workloads and the employee’s
needs. Leave must be approved in advance. Absence(s) without any prior notification is subject to direct
salary deduction(s) regardless of his employment status or leave availability and can also entitled for any
further actions at the sole discretion of the management.

An employee is expected to take accrued annual leave for business close down periods (31st March). If
insufficient leave is accrued, SERP Consultancy may direct an employee to take unpaid leave.

SERP Consultancy will decide on a case-by-case basis whether it will agree with an employee to ‘cash
out’ annual leave as permitted by workplace relations, legislation or any industrial instrument.

In some circumstances, leave in advance of what leave has accrued may be approved. This is conditional
on the employee agreeing to the business deducting any advance in the event of termination, or to the
employee accepting leave without pay.

Personal (sick) Leave:

An employee is entitled to a maximum of 6 days of personal/sick leave every 12 months. Paid personal

An employee should notify his/her superior as soon as possible if they are unable to attend work due to
illness or injury. Management, at its discretion, may request evidence such as a medical certificate /
prescription etc. showing that the employee was entitled to take personal leave during the relevant
period.

Carer 's / Compassionate leave policy

Carer's leave is available to an employee for the care or support of an ill family or household member or
if an unexpected emergency affects a family or household member. It is typically part of personal (sick)
leave and is dealt with similarly to above.

Casual Leave:

An employee is entitled to a maximum of 4 days of Casual leave every 12 months. Casual leave accrues
at the rate of 1 in every quarter of service and is cumulative.
Earned Leave:

An employee is entitled to a maximum of 6 days of Earned leave every 12 months. These leaves are
earned at the rate of 1/2 day per month of service and are cumulative.

Employees serving the company for more than 2 years will qualify for the paid Special leave. The leave
can be taken for travel, paternal, family/religious occasions including marriage, funeral etc. purposes for
a maximum of 5 days. Special leaves would be void at the end of each financial year.
