EXCELLENCE OF CRYING

A young child was crying whilst standing outside a

“Madarassah”.
He also had a note book in his hand.
An elderly person was walking past him, when he saw the young
child is crying uncontrollably,
he felt sorry for him and asked him with great love& affection,
the reason for his crying.

The answer that young child gave appeared a little strange.

He said, today my teacher has written a sentence in my
notebook
which has made me
RESTLESS,EXTREMELY WORRIED
and THAT IS WHY I am CRYING PROFUSLY.
The elderly man was
quite SURPRISED and asked the child to SHOW HIM THE
NOTEBOOK, so that he can see what has been WRITTEN by
his TEACHER. When the child showed him the NOTE BOOK,
after reading the STATEMENT, the ELDERLY man also
became SPEECHLESS.

What WAS written in that NOTE BOOK was nothing

EXTRA-ORDINARY.
It is something that we HEAR MANY TIMES
THROUGH OUT OUR LIVES!
The statement was the verse of one of the surah’s of the
Holy Qur’aan: Translation from Kanzul Imaan Shareef:

1. Piling of more wealth has kept you

negligent.

2. Till you saw your graves

If we look at it, this is nothing to cry about. We heard it

too, neither of us has cried after listening to this. These
two verses have had no effect upon us.
But that child was a special child.

In ESSANCE these TWO(2)VERSES ARE A

“GREAT DETERRENT.”
If any ONE of US can UNDERSTAND and REALISE the
SIGNIFICANCE of these TWO VERSES, IT IS
ENOUGH to make us TREMBLE in FEAR.
We KNOW from OUR OWN EXPERIENCES, all those
people who were BUSY EARNING THEIR WEALTH,
SUDDENLY, DEATH REACHED THEM, AND NOW
THEY ARE LAYING INSIDE THEIR GRAVES.
“YOU WERE KEPT NEGLIGENT BY PILILING MORE WEALTH,
UNTIL YOU SAW YOUR GRAVES”.

The ELDERLY MAN also BECAME SPEECHLESS

after listening to these TWO VERSES, and told the child,
that these ARE ONLY FIRST TWO VERSES.
Your teacher MAY also TELL YOU the NEXT few verses
of this SURAH. The child inquired from the old man,
what are the next verses? The elderly man read the next
verses of
surah al-takaathir, which talks about the
“PUNISHMENT OF HELL”.
The moment he heard about the
“PUNISHMENT OF HELL”
The child started crying MORE FORCEFULLY.

To such an EXTENT that it BECAME DIFFICULT TO
CONTROL HIM,
“HE FELL DOWN AND PASSED AWAY WHILE
CRYING WITH FEAR.”

A lot of people GATHERED AROUND and SAW that A

YOUNG CHILD IS DEAD!
And an ELDERLY MAN is STANDING NEXT to him.
They WEREN’T AWARE of what had happened,
SO they THOUGHT this elderly man,
somehow is RESPONSIBLE FOR THE DEATH OF
THIS CHILD.
So they ARRESTED THE ELDERLY MAN and TOOK
HIM TO COURT.
The JUDGE, who WAS ALSO A PIOUS MAN, He
INQUIRED from the ELDERLY MAN to SPEAK IN HIS
OWN DEFENCE.
SO THE ELDERLY MAN TOLD THE JUDGE THE
WHOLE STORY.

After listening to this story,

the PIOUS JUDGE gave his VERDICT

“THIS ELDERLY MAN IS NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR

THE DEATH OF THE CHILD,
• THE CHILD HAD A HEART
• WHICH WAS FILLED WITH THE FEAR OF
ALLAH AZZAWAJUL and
• IT WAS THE FEAR OF ALLAH AZZAWAJUL
• WHICH WAS ULTIMATLY THE CAUSE OF HIS

 DEATH.
• THE YOUNG CHILD WAS LUCKY IN THE SENSE
THAT HE LEFT THIS WORLD
• AT A YOUNG AGE AND FOUND HIS REAL
DESTINATION

My dear Islamic brothers,

“HOW TRAGIC IS THIS INCIDENT”
AND MUCH PRIDE WE HAVE FOR THAT YOUNG
CHILD.
WHO DIED DUE TO THE FEAR OF ALLAH
AZZAWAJUL.

ON THE OTHER HAND ARE OUR CHILDREN.

WHEN WE LOOK AT THEM TODAY,
HOW HEART BROKEN DO WE FEEL, OR (SHOULD
WE FEEL).

THE MUSIC IS PLAYING

OUR CHILD IS DANCING (BOPPING) TO THE BEAT
OF THE MUSIC. (TO THE SOUND)
THIS IS COMMON SCENE TO BE WITNESSED IN
SIDE EVERY HOUSEHOLD. HOW PROUD WE FEEL
THAT OUR CHILD IS DANCING TO THE MUSIC.

IT IS THE ENVIRONMENT WE LIVE IN,

WHICH PLAYS AN IMPORTANT ROLE!

• WE CLAIM to be MUSLIMS, and

 • ALHAMDO-LILLAH WE ARE MUSLIMS!
But the LOVE of ISLAM in our HEARTS is NOTHING
COMPARED to the LOVE of ISLAM that OUR PIOUS
PREDECESSORS HAD!

THAT YOUNG CHILD.

who had so much FEAR OF ALLAH in his HEART.
that he STARTED CRYING after READING the TWO
VERSES OF THE HOLY QUR’AAN THAT had been
written in his NOTE BOOK by his teacher.
HE HAD NOT YET reached the age of PUBERTY,
LAWS of SHARIYAH did not apply to him,
at this age, he was YET NOT ACCOUNTABLE FOR HIS
ACTIONS,
but still, look at his MADANI THOUGHT,
HE DIED to the fear of PUNISHMENT OF HELL FIRE.
On the OTHER HAND are OUR CHILDREN.
Lets leave the CHILDRENS ALONE,
WHAT IS THE STATE OF US ADULTS TODAY.

• Do we cry after listening to the verses of the Holy

Quraan?
• Do we tremble with fear after listening to the
punishment of Hellfire?
• Do we cry after listening to the punishment of
Hellfire?

NEVER!!!
My dear Islamic brothers NEVER.
It is our ILL FORTUNE that OUR HEARTS has become

 RESISTANCE to CHANGE DUE
TO EXCESSIVNESS OF OUR SINS.
When we commit A SINGLE SIN,
it leaves a BLACK SPOT on our HEART.
• THE MORE SINS WE COMMIT,
• THE MORE BLACK SPOTS APPEAR ON OUR
HEART.

Here black spots are not to be taken literally.

It means that WITH EACH SIN we COMMIT our heart
becomes
RESISTANT TO ACCEPT THE INVITATION
TOWARDS GOOD
Or when we hear the message of the Holy Quraan,

we never pay any attention to it, or

RATHER IT DOES NOT HAVE ANY EFFECT ON US,
Due to the excessiveness of our sins,

OUR HEARTS HAVE BECOME LIKE THAT

PADLOCK,WHICH HAS BECOME RUSTED,
AND THE KEY DOES NOT WORK TO UNLOCK IT!
Similarly,
WHEN WE ARE INVITED TOWARDS GOOD,
THOSE WORDS ARE NOT RECEIVED BY OUR
HEART.
WE LISTEN TO THEM FROM ONE EAR AND OUT
THEY GO FROM THE OTHER.

 • How are we going to feel tranquillity during our
prayers?
• How are we going to cry due to the fear of Allah
azzawajal & the love of the Holy prophet?
• Only if, we can also cry due to the fear of Allah
azzawajal.

Hazrat-e-Allama Abdu-r-Rehmaan Saffori rehmatulla

alaihi narrates that once the holy prophet sall Allah ho
alaihi wa-sallam was giving a sermon and one person
from the audience, couldn’t control his feelings and
started crying. In response to this, our beloved prophet
sall Allah ho alaihi wa sallam said:

“If today we had amongst us those momineen’s whose sins

weigh equal to the weight of the mountains,
Allah azzawajal would have forgiven their sins
because of the crying of this one person.
This is because when a person starts crying,
the angels start to make the following prayer,
Oh Allah azzawajal, those people who are not crying, please
forgive them as well due to the tears of this person who is
crying”

From this narration, we realise one of the benefits of

participating in a religious gathering. Like our situation is
at present, when we are in a religious gathering, we don’t
listen with attention, we become bored easily, neither do
we feel any change in our heart,

nor do we shed any tears, but still, it is highly likely that
amongst such a gathering, there would at least be one
person who:

• Has a soft heart

• Who has fear of Allah azzawajal
• Who has great Love & affection for the Holy prophet
Sall Allah ho alaihi wa-sallam

AND ITS IS HIGHLY POSSIBLE THAT DUE TO HIS

CRYING, OUR SINS WILL BE FORGIVEN ASWELL.
THERE FORE
NOT TO ATTEND SUCH GATHERINGS IS A REAL
MISFORTUNE BECAUSE WE MISS THE
OPPORTUNITY FOR OUR OWN FORGIVENESS

Many of us come to this weekly ijtima, and yet, our hearts

and our thoughts are somewhere else. The moment we
arrive, we start thinking, when is it going to end? I am not
enjoying the bayan, I am not enjoying the dua. Same
things are repeated all over again. The Shaitaan exploits
this fact and starts whispering, and off we go thinking
about our worldly problems and Allah knows what else.

My dear Islamic brothers, we are here to do the zikr of

Allah azzawajal. If at present our heart is somewhere else,
doesn’t matter. At least our physical body is present in
weekly Ijtimaa, Insha-Allah azzawajal, one day our heart
will also become present.

ALLAH(Azzawajal)
• WHO HAS MADE US SIT IN THIS WEEKLY
IJTIMA TODAY,
• ONE DAY HE WILL ALSO MAKE US PAY FULL
ATTENTION,WILL ALSO MAKE OUR TEARS
FLOW
• WILL MAKE OUR HEART ACCEPT ADVICE
AND INVITIATION TO GOOD,
• IF WE DON’T ENJOY SITTING HERE,
• THEN IT DOES NOT MEAN THAT WE SHOULD
STOP COMING TO THE IJTIMA.
• THE RELIGIOUS GATHERINGS AS A REMEDY
FOR OUR SINS.

We need to keep taking this remedy on regular basis

because we have the disease of committing sins with us
life-long.

FOR EXAMPLE, THOSE PEOPLE WHO HAVE LIFE

LONG ILNESSES, SUCH AS:
• DIABETES,
• HEART DISEASE,
• LUNG CANCER, & VARIOUS OTHER TYPES OF
ILLNESESSES.
THEY ARE ON MEDICATION FOR THE REST OF
THEIR LIFE. DO THEY STOP TAKING THEIR
MEDICATION FOR THE REST OF THEIR LIFES!
Do they stop taking there medication?
If we were to be those patients suffering from these

ailments, would we stop taking the medication?
NONE OF THE PATIENTS ENJOY TAKING THEIR
MADICATION, BUT THEY FIGHT AGAINST THEIR
WILL TO SURVIVE FOR AS LONG AS POSSIBLE.

OUR DISEASE OF COMMITTING SINS IS ALSO

LIFE-LONG,
WHEATHER WE ENJOY IT OR NOT,
WE NEED ATTEND RELIGIOUS GATHERINGS FOR
THE REMEDY, IF WE WANNA SURVIVE ON THE
DAY OF JUDGEMENT.
Sallu Alal Habeeb:

Lucky are those people who cry in remembrance of Allah

azzawajal.
That child cried, and cried to such an extent that he lost
his life
due to the fear of Allah azzawajal.
And we heard the benefit of crying,
that our beloved Prophet sall Allah ho alaihi wa Sallam
said,
“that due to the crying of one person in a gathering,
Allah azzawajal also forgives those who cannot or do
not cry.
What more do we want”

Hazrat-e-Sayyeduna Abdullah ibn-e-Abbas radi

Allah ho anhu states that tears flow due to the
mercy of Allah azzawajal.

Another buzurg rehmatulla alaihi narrates a hadeeth in
which our beloved prophet sall Allah ho alaihi wa-sallam
said
“Allah azzawajal likes two types of drops more
than anything else: 1) one is the drop of tear that
flows in darkness due to the fear of Allah
azzawajal & 2)second one is the drop of blood
that flows from the body of a martyr in Jihaad”

It is also written in few other narrations that Allah

azzawajal has stated in his divine books that

“the person who cries due to my fear, his reward

is that he is saved from my punishment and I will
make him laugh inside heaven”
So we CONCLUDE that the ONE who is CRYING in this
WORLD DUE TO THE FEAR OF Allah (Azzawajal).
He will be happy and laughing inside Heaven.

AND WHAT ABOUT US, WHO KEEP LAUGHING

ALL THE TIME. NOT JUST LAUGHING OUR
SELVES, BUT WE TEND TO MAKE OTHERS LAUGH
BY TELLING JOKES AND STORIES!
OUR FRIENDS ARE THOSE WHO ALSO LAUGH
AND IF WE COME ACROSS SOMEONE WHO
DOESN’T LAUGH THAT MUCH,

we class them as a boring person and exclude them
from our company. Someone who is not laughing,
we say, they don’t know how to enjoy life. Life is all
about having fun. Those of us who are “Chilling
out” with our mates, listen to the narration of a
pious predecessor rehmatullah alaihi:

“those who commit sins and laugh at the time of

committing sins, they will enter Hell crying”

Now you tell me, how many of us are here who

commit sins and laugh while committing sins? If we
are honest with ourselves, I am sure everyone will
answer Yes to it. And how many of us are ashamed
of committing sins? I don’t think any of us are. If
you are not convinced by my answer, then let me
explain it with few examples.

Missing our prayers is a major sin. How many of us

miss our prayers regularly, and yet, it doesn’t even
cross our mind that I am committing a major sin. If
the thought of sin doesn’t even cross our mind, how
are we going to feel ashamed?

Telling a lie is another sin. Many of us tell lies to
make others laugh. How many of us would have told
a made up story or a joke to make our friends laugh.
Did we ever think that this story I am telling about
another person, is it even true?

How about listening to music? Apart from Daff, to

play or listen to any musical instrument is Haraam.
How many of us enjoy listening to music. Many of
our Muslim brothers and sisters are addicted to
music to such an extent that if they don’t listen to
music on daily basis, they get the cravings.

How many of us backbite when we are gossiping

with our friends? Remember the definition of back
biting:

Any true statement that we make about another

person, and he gets angry when he comes to find out
about it, is classed as back biting.

And if the statement was wrong in the first place,

this is now classed as slandering. First of all we
should not even be discussing about others’ private
matters with another person. Secondly, most of the
times, these tend to be rumours we hear from one,
and pass it onto another, without asking for

evidence, whether this statement is true or not.

And I can continue to give more examples. So my

dear Islamic brothers, we are committing sins and
we don’t even realise what we are doing. In this day
and age, majority of people don’t class certain acts
as sins, the acts that have been condemned by
SHariah to be unlawful acts. And if we happen to
know that what we are doing is wrong and sinful
action, we will not show any remorse over it. How
many of our young Islamic brothers (especially from
universities) go to Cinema’s, night clubs, pubs etc,
and they have no Idea what they are doing.

Whose responsibility is it to tell them about what

Islam says about going to Cinema, about going to a
pub or a Night club. Their condition is such that if
you tell them about it, they will say, we just go to
chill out, we don’t drink alcohol, whats wrong with
that? Astaghferullah.

My dear Islamic brothers, the word that is used for

Alcohol in the Holy Quraan is “Ijtanibu”. Ijtanibu
doesn’t mean, don’t drink. It means, to refrain from
or to avoid. One should not even go near to the
alcohol, whether the alcohol is closed in a bottle, or
it is being drank inside a building.

Those Islamic brothers who are aware of these sins,
and they do not teach their brothers about this, then
on the day of judgment, it is likely that these
brothers of ours might challenge us, in the court of
Allah azzawajal, that oh Allah azzawajal, my friend
knew what I was doing was a sin, but he never
stopped me from doing it, he never even told me
about it, then if Allah azzawajal becomes angry, we
might also be thrown inside the Hell, due to this
negligence of not giving dawat towards good and
forbid evil.

So my dear Islamic brothers, if we are committing

sins happily out of negligence, then it is highly likely
that on the day of judgment, we will enter hell
crying. The choice is ours? We have the time to
change. We have the time to save our Islamic
brothers and sisters. How are we going to change?
How can we save ourselves from going into hell?
Listen to one remedy for that:

It is narrated by hazrat e Sayyeduna Abu Hurraira

radi Allah ho anhu that our sweet beloved prophet
Sall Allah ho alaihi wa-sallam said:
“that person will never enter Hell, who cries due to
the fear of Allah azzawajal”

Dear Islamic borthers now a days we laugh more and
cry really really really less due to fear of ALLAH due
to fear of hell, due to the love of prophet alahissalam.

Now the question is,how do we make our habbit to

cry due to fear of ALLAH and obtain the fear of
Allah azzawajal in our heart?
Reply is.. connect urself with the blessed (nisbat)
(don’t know English) of AOLIYA E KARAM LIKE

attar qadri,madani environment of dawateislami,
with attachment of pious environment, pious peoples
by acting upon madani ina’amaat daily, by
travelling in madni qafilas insh’ALLAH ur heart
will be soften, u will feel change in ur life and
in’shallah soon u will be the one who cries due to the
fear and love of ALLAH azzawajel.
So my dear sweet Islamic brothers please for the
sake of madina, make it ur habbit to attend weekly
ijtima and fill out ur madani inamaat card daily and
travel atleast 3 days every month in madani qafila of
dawateislami.
May ALLAH azzawajel give me and all of u tofeeq
to act upon what we have listen ... amen
bijahinnabiyyil amen sallallaho alahi wa alihi
