Primary Medical Assistant
Primary Medical Assistant for Urology; clinical duties consists of: minor surge
ry, urological procedures, catheterization of male and female patients, installa
tion of bladder chemotherapy, urodynamic studies, full urinalysis.
Clerical duties include: scheduling surgery for five hospitals, setting up radio
logical exams, telephone triage, medication refills, CPT/ICD-9 coding, and insur

Medical Assistant
I began at Saltzer Medical working for the internal medicine department for thr
ee physicians, and then was moved into a primary position with a Urologist.
On a daily basis I was responsible for rooming all patients, vital signs, inject
ions, patient teaching, EKG's, medication refills, telephone triage, assisting w
ith minor procedures, lab and x-ray scheduling, and insurance referrals.

I assisted the physician in all aspects of ENT (ear, nose, and throat) and Facia
l Plastics.
My duties included: cosmetic lasers, allergy injections, scheduling of surgeries
, telephone triage, transcription, billing, and collections.

ACCOMPLISHMENT
I started as a medical assistant in a temporary floating position for fifty phys
icians at Saltzer Medical group. Within three months, three physicians put in re
quests for me to assist their registered nurses. In six months, I become the fir
st primary medical assistant at Saltzer Medical Group to a physician.
I worked as a primary medical assistant in a multi-specialty group and I designe
d forms that reduced missed labs, x-rays, surgeries and follow up appointments.
It saved the company and the patients time and money.
Two days a week I would see patients for: blood draws, urodynamic flow studies,
instillation of bladder chemotherapy and catheterizing patients. It helped the p
hysician to be more productive; and it increased convenience for the patients.
EXTRACURRICULAR ACTIVITIES
I love golfing, running, fishing, camping and spending quality time with my fami
ly.
