* Served as staff support for the HCFA Coverage Payment Technical Advisory Group
(TAG). As staff liaison, surveyed Blue Cross Blue Shield Plans on their covera
ge practices, collecting aggregate and/or sample data prior to TAG meetings.
* Led corporate-wide team of professionals to quantify and develop criteria-base
d recognitions by liability insurers of Joint Commission accreditation and certi
fication. Documented insurer recognitions for all accreditation programs and on
e certification program. Five program newsletters and two media articles featur
ed the project outcomes.
* Listening to the voice of the customer, led a seasoned team of professionals e
ngaged in the feasibility study for a new nationwide Medicare product for Blue C
ross and Blue Shield Association. Assisted the Acting CEO in writing his speech
to the board.
* With a team of colleagues, developed a DVD that reviewed the organ donation st
andards and how the on-site surveyor would assess compliance to them. The DVD
was intended assist hospitals to be successful in their implementation of the st
andards.
