Youth Athletics Supervisor
Directed and administered 100+ sports programs and 5 youth sports leagues with a
nnual budget of $100K. Maintained financial and operational reporting. Interview
ed, hired, supervised and evaluated 50+ employees/coaches/sports leaders. Discip
lined and terminated employees as necessary. Oversaw 4 annual special events: Ba
sketball Hot Shot Tournament, Youth Tennis Tournament, Pitch Hit and Run Event a
nd Punt, Pass & Kick Event. Support marketing of programs and create program fly
ers.
* Spearheaded the identification, evaluation and establishment of contractual sp
orts company that generated $40K+ additional revenue annually by greatly increas
ing youth enrollment.
* Hired professional tennis (USTA) instructors and improved participation and en
rollment in both adult and youth tennis programs.
* Improved safety and efficiency practices - developed/implemented facility secu
rity sheets, maintained league stats and improved youth playoff scheduling so pa
rents could plan accurately when their children would have games/matches.
Andersen Community Center Director (1988-2006)
Managed recreation facility with staff of 20 employees - reserved events at faci
lity, handled staff scheduling and directed all procedures. Oversaw $40K budget
for 50+ programs (flag football/soccer/basketball/t-ball and floor hockey league
s, fitness classes and recreational programs). Served as instructor, coach and r
eferee as necessary for programs.
* Led center income to increase from $7K to $30K+ annually over tenure.
