Actuation Facility. Used Teaming based on the PRI, Inc. line teams and Office w
orkers process. Teams were developed and in place making continuous improvements
with monthly/quarterly reports to management. The foundation was based on quali
ty, cost and delivery metrics.
* Built production teams and implemented CI using Boeing Accelerated Improvement
Workshops for product quality improvements, achieved scrap/waste reductions up
to 50% and floor space improvements of 60K square feet.
* Lead team efforts to eliminate waste in quality procedures using updated GD&T
training and techniques. Cost of quality reductions of 40% of previous year. Bas
ed on sales of $80 million a year.

. Oversaw capital improvement projects of new 30,000 square foot building additi
on with 6 new large Okuma Machining Centers.
* Led a floor space reduction effort which saved 8,000 square feet using their f
irst vertical storage system (Hanel Lean Lifts). Storing complete kits on demand
for quick change-over. Now a company standard world-wide, saving over 200,000 s
quare feet of floor space replacing over 800 conventional storage cabinets
