I currently have over 48, 000 hours working in the PDS environment. URS/Washington Division Princeton, NJ PDS / Piping Design Lead April 2007 to Sept 2009 While working in the Piping designer capacity I modeled preliminary Equipment an d piping layout scenarios used for client Smartplant review sessions. Incorporat ed client comments and updated model to reflect certified vendor Equipment. Trac k changes in piping specs and make appropriate changes as necessary. Also Isomet ric Extraction And fixing failed or corrupt ISO's As a Piping Lead I would answer and get answers to all Piping questions and conc erns related to PDS, Design, Equipment, Specs, Isometric extraction, and Design review. I would also interact with other discipline leads, designers and the Cli ent to maintain scope of work and company standards. All responsibilities were a chieved using my knowledge of PDS, Design Standards, Smartplant, Extraction and troubleshooting Failed and corrupt Isometrics, Microstation, Word, Excel. Shaw Stone & Webster Trenton, NJ PDS / Piping Designer Dec 2005 to Apr 2007 Worked on the design of a Dewatering Building for a PPL FGD Retrofit Project. My scope of work on this project includes but is not limited to the building and p lacement of all equipment from vendor drawings, the layout and design of all pip ing, access and maintenance platforms to perform all repair needs required. All work being done in the PDS 7.3 environment and Smart plant Design Review 6.1 Jacobs Engineering Group Mt Laurel, NJ / Conshohocken, PA PDS / Piping Designer Aug 2004 to Dec 2005 Worked on the layout and design of a chilled water distribution system for an ex pansion project for Glaxo Smith Kline. Previously worked in the PDS environment to layout and design 3 units of an ongoing project with Conoco Phillips Bayway N J Refinery. While assigned to the Conoco Phillips, Trainer PA Refinery site I cr eated hand sketched isometrics of various needs for a Clean Fuel Project and inc orporating them into a PDS model for ISO extraction to obtain accurate BOM infor mation. U.N.I. Hightstown, NJ AutoCAD / Piping Designer March 2004 to Aug 2004 Assigned to the Valero Refinery in Paulsboro, NJ I worked on a Benzine recovery project. My responsibilities included the layout, design and developing of drawi ngs in AutoCAD. This encompassed all underground piping, sump stations and rack piping along with structural and support issues as needed. Jacobs Engineering Group Mt Laurel, NJ PDS / Piping Designer July 2003 to Dec 2003 While assigned to the Conoco Phillips, Trainer PA Refinery I had been working on a Clean Fuels project. This included the walk down of lines. Coordination of ti e-in locations with the client. Along with the layout and design of future pipin g systems needed to meet the Clean Fuels Project Scope. I had also produced isom etric drawings of all tie-ins of the new and rerouted piping systems. Washington Group International Princeton, NJ PDS / Piping Design Lead March 2000 to Feb 2003 My last assignment was at the Mystic Station Generating Plant in Everett, Massac husetts. Working with the Mechanical Engineering group I incorporate ECN's and F CR's into the PDS model. My duties also include walking down lines, the layout a nd design of additional pumps, vessels, filters, strainers and all other mechani cal concerns to insure the timely start-up of the plant. Before my site assignme nt I worked on the layout and design of piping systems in PDS format for the Har quahala Generating Plant in Maricopa, Arizona and Sithe Energies Group Inc. Myst ic Station Generating Plant. Duties include the design and placement of piping r elated to boiler feed, condensate, hot, and cold reheat systems and various pump s, vessels and other equipment. The placement of pipe supports and the extractio n of isometrics are also my responsibility. Trouble-shooting and model repair of failed and or problem Isometrics using PDS generated hit and error reports are also a responsibility. Flour Daniel Corp Marlton, NJ PDS / Piping Designer / Area Piping Lead Oct 1996 to Aug 1999 As an Area Piping Lead using Intergraph PDS to design layout and rework various areas of an Eastman Kodak China project. Duties include the supervision of a 13 member design team to model and pipe various pumps, vessels, pipe racks and othe r related mechanical room equipment. Also to interface with the client, vendors, supervisors and other discipline leads to achieve a deliverable product. The ex traction of Isometrics and the creation Orthographic drawings and equipment arra ngements. I am also responsible for the trouble-shooting and model repair of fai led and or problem Isometrics using PDS generated hit and error reports. I had a lso worked on the PP9 Power Project with the same basic responsibilities. Foster Wheeler Corp Clinton, NJ PDS / Piping Designer Mar 1996 to Oct 1996 Using Intergraph UNIX V5.4 PDS responsibilities were the precision input of 2D I sometrics into a PDS model for the purpose of an interference check for a pharma ceutical plant of Hoffman LaRoche of South Carolina. Also the verification and d ocumentation of all hit, dimensional errors and problems. Design responsibilitie s included the layout and locating of utility station piping, control valve stat ions, relief valve discharge to a blowdown flare header and the general rework a nd design of problem areas of various ongoing jobs. Fru-Con Corp Ballwin, MO PDS / Piping Designer Nov 1995 to Feb 1996 Using Intergraph NT and UNIX based PDS to layout and model all reactor piping fo r a 200mm silicon waffering system for MEMC Electronics. Also the layout and mod eling of a fire protection system. Other responsibilities included the extractio n of Isometrics and the troubleshooting of failed Isometrics using PDS generated reports. Foster Wheeler Corp Clinton, NJ PDS / Piping Designer Mar 1992 to Nov 1995 Using UNIX based PDS to layout design and model pipe rack piping, control and ut ility stations for a Sour Water / Amine unit part of a Delayed Coker Facility. O ther duties included the layout and design of battery limit valving and the coor dination of tie-ins coming into the rack area. Also required was the placement o f pipe supports, guides, etc. Isometrics were revised and plotted using PC based Intergraph Microstation version 4.0. I also was responsible for the troubleshoo ting of failed Isometrics and correcting the model. Merck & Company Inc. Danville, PA CAD Microstation / Piping Designer Apr 1990 to Mar 1992 Using UNIX based Intergraph Microstation 4.0 to developed, updated and revised p lot plans, P&ID's and flow diagrams for addition to new and existing pharmaceuti cal processes. Merck & Company Inc. Somerset, NJ CAD Microstation / Piping Designer I worked closely with lead designers to generate Isometrics drawings from minima l sketches. Also produced complete system isometrics for plant validation. I was responsible for the creation and documentation of the complete isometric cell l ibrary and isometric standards. On-Board Chemical Corp. Edison, NJ CAD Microstation / Piping Designer Apr 1988 to Jan 1990 We worked exclusively for E.I.Dupont de Nemours & Co.
