New York Road Runners - New York, NY 2008 to 2010
* Senior Manager of Event Development and Production
Serve as the management lead for The ING NYC Marathon Start, multiple weekly eve
nts and development of new properties including the new triathlon events. Develo
pment of new events and management of existing entities include the tasks of cou
rse design, measurement and sponsorship fulfillment.
Event Production
* Manage aspects of announcer scripts, run of show and timelines.
Logistics/Operations
* Oversee the planning and monitoring of venue operations including crowd manage
ment plans; resolving crises; and maintaining regular contact with assigned repr
esentatives of all city, state and national agencies to include NYPD, FDNY, Spor
ts Commission, City Parks, Conservancy, DOT, DSNY, Office of the Mayor, etc.
* Oversee management and installation of temporary and portable venue structures
at Fort Wadsworth for the ING NYC Marathon and also at all weekly events.
* Create Standard Operating Procedures manual from conception to completion.
* Manage Operations budget in excess of $7M.
ESPN Outdoors - Orlando, FL 2005 to 2008
* Manager of Event Operations
Serve as the management lead for all venue operations components for ESPN Outdoo
rs events including venue design and layout; event production; staff management;
purchasing and financial planning. Directly responsible for the hiring and mana
gement of event staff, vendor selection and implementing all logistical procedur
es/asset control measures. Hold fiscal accountability for annual budgets in exce
ss of $3M.
Creative/Production
* Lead events with up to 50,000 attendees through all aspects from program plann
ing to onsite execution and post event analysis.
* Oversee event production and all related personnel and functions including sta
ge management, show DJ, talent, show announcer, format, and event producer. Assi
st in television production and creating content for TV.
* Assist the Director in the creative design, layout and look of all ESPN Outdoo
rs consumer shows.
* Manage procedures associated with venue design and oversee the creation and ma
intenance of scaled venue layouts and directional maps. Effectively maximize spo

* Manage and oversee outside agencies, as well as employee teams to ensure event

* Oversee the Bassmaster Classic spectator transportation and parking plan.
* Manage the operational needs for the Bassmaster Classic weigh-in.
* Oversee management and installation of temporary and portable venue structures
at all venues.
* Oversee the implementation of all logistical policies and procedures including
loss prevention measures for assets used at all ESPN Outdoors events. Attend in
dustry related trade shows and competitions throughout the year.
* Create purchase orders and monitor payment status of all ESPN vendors in SAP.
Perform third party vendor negotiating contracts with facilities and industry pu
rveyors.
* Perform to budget, maximizing both client satisfaction and company profitabili
ty.
