Essence Interiors, LLC is a family owned Design Company located in St. Louis, Missouri. Over the years
we have helped many customers expand the interior of their house to external living spaces. During
these projects, we found the markup on quality outdoor furniture was unfair to the general consumer.
By networking with our other furniture resources, we were fortunate to find a quality manufacturer
and have partnered with them to provide high quality products priced much lower than what you
would find in your local market. We are able to offer these prices because we have taken out the
overhead and given you the opportunity to pay for the furniture and not expensive show rooms,
salaries and inventory.

Our story is fairly simple. If any of these points hit home then you will want to dig further.

• I do NOT want to pay the high local store prices.
• I do NOT want to buy the “big box” store furniture as it is light weight, lower quality and easily
blown around.

To make this easier, we have identified some FAQs and helpful instructions on how to be successful
when shopping for furniture from a catalog.

How to find our catalog: Our catalog can be downloaded at Essence Interiors Docs.

How to place an order: Email us at essence.one@gmail.com and include:

• Item number
• Quantity
• Shipping Address
 With this information we will be able to give you an accurate quote with shipping and tax (there is
no tax if delivered outside of Missouri). Once the order is placed, you will receive emailed shipping
notification and tracking information.

How to make furniture shopping successful from a catalog: We obviously want every transaction to
be successful and in order to mitigate your risks we highly recommend you feel comfortable with the
following list before you commit to an order.

1. Color and Style: this is fairly easy to mitigate because our color catalog is very accurate. For
those customers who are very particular about fabric colors, please remember that a monitor,
printer or other technology can influence colors and it may not be a perfect match.
2. Dimensions: This is the biggest risk. Most people know what feels right when they sit in it, but
have no idea about the width, height and depth of furniture. We recommend you find
something that feels comfortable and review the dimensions that seem important to you. We
have found that the height and depth are usually simple, but people forget to think about how
much room they want inside the chair arms. Do you want that “over size” feel or the “basic
chair” feel.
3. Weight: Usually a no brainer as this furniture is not the type you get at “big box” stores that
can blow around very easily.
4. Delivery and Assembly: This furniture is delivered from the California warehouse to your
location, many times on pallets in a tractor trailer. If the truck cannot get to the house they will
have to drop it at your designated location. There is some minor assembly required.

How much is Delivery? All shipments originate in Irwindale, CA and have many variables including size
of order, weight, distance, gas prices etc. We always try to use the most cost effective shipping.
Shipping will be quoted to you prior to order placement. Here are a couple of sample shipping costs as
examples.

• 5 end tables, 1 coffee table, 2 swivel rockers, 1 sofa, 1 bar table, 4 bar stools, 3 chaise lounges,
delivered to St. Louis MO (13 boxes on 3 pallets).... $394

Is there Tax? For any delivery in Missouri, there will be sales tax of 6.925%. Deliveries outside
Missouri will have no tax.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS

Payment can be made with Check, Cashier’s Check, Money Order, Visa, MasterCard, Discover, American
Express and PayPal at the time the order is placed. In regards to any type of Check or Money Order, orders will
not ship prior to funds clearing.

Sunbrella Fabric Cushions:

All Sunbrella fabric cushions are a special order that must be prepaid and take approximately 2 to 3 weeks.
They are all handmade in the United States.

Delivery:

All freight charges are pre-paid and will be communicated before final order placement confirmation. Essence
Interiors will make every effort to ship products via the most cost effective way possible. Delivery will most
likely be common carrier or UPS Ground. Shipments that are not delivered to a loading dock may incur
additional charges for forklift gate equipment. Residential or inside delivery may incur an additional charge
and will be communicated prior to final order placement confirmation.
All items should be inspected upon delivery for damages. Note any damages on the delivery receipt. Any and
all claims must be reported to Essence Interiors within 48 hours whether shipping damage or manufactures
defect. Customers cannot refuse shipment. Any shipment that is reconsigned by the customer will incur a
$25.00 fee in addition to the fee the trucking company charges. This may include reconsignment and
reshipping fees.

Backorders:

Essence Interiors will make every attempt to ship all orders complete. However, in the event that an item is
not in stock, we will advise the customer and discuss options.

Cancellations:

Due to the lead time for shipments, no cancellation will be accepted after 3 days from the order entry date.
There will be a $25.00 cancellation fee for orders that have been placed on a pallet(s). ready to ship and just
waiting for the freight company to pick up.

Returns – Exchanges:

No returns or exchanges will be accepted. Please reference the “How to make furniture shopping from a
catalog” section to help with your selection. See the Delivery section to see how damaged or defective
furniture is handled.

MANUFACTURERS 10 YEAR LIMITED WARRANTY:

All manufacturer (DARLEE) warranties apply to the original purchaser and begin at the date of the purchase.

DARLEE reserves the right to make a disposition whether to replace, repair or refinish any covered warranty
product. In the event any product is no longer available, equal value replacement will be offered. During the
third year after purchase of DARLEE furniture, it is the responsibility of the purchaser to pay all freight costs for
replacement. Replacements will follow standard manufacturer shipment process. When requested, a
photograph and proof of purchase must be provided to the manufacturer when requesting replacement or
repair.

Furniture:

Furniture frames are warranted to the original purchases to be free from defects in material and workmanship
for a period of TEN YEARS from the date of purchase. The manufacturer will warranty the powder coat finish
for a period of THREE YEARS from the date of purchase against blistering or peeling. The warranty period for
fading of resin is TWO YEARS and ONE for both sling and garden accessories.
This warranty does not cover damage caused by ammonia, harsh abrasive cleaners, pool chlorine, suntan oils,
blocks and/or lotions, also not warranted in accidental damage (fire, wind, or freezing or other acts of nature)
and any failure caused by unreasonable use or abuse. Rust seepage or bleeding from crevices or hidden
surfaces inherent in some ornate designs. Rusting and / or oxidation of furniture resulting from exposed
metals that have been scratched, chipped, or not properly maintained. Any furniture placed for a period of
time within 10 miles of a salt-water pool /coastline, hard-water deposits or calcium build-up due to minerals
found in regional water supplies are also no warranted. Due to the unique nature of hand-applied finishes,
fading and wearing is not included in t this warranty. In addition, this warranty does not cover cast iron
rusting, rocker and swivel mechanisms, and glass or leg levelers. A change in manufacture is beyond the
control of DARLEE.

Granite Table Tops:

Granite table Tops are warranted for a period of ONE YEAR from the date of original purchase. This limited
warranty only covers the workmanship and structural integrity of the top.

Cushions:

Due to variations in photography, the color of cushions may differ slightly. DARLEE reserves the right to
replace the cushion or cushion cover depending on the nature of the problem. In the event that the cushions
are no longer available, DARLEE will provide similar replacement as soon as possible. Please note: there may
be a color and texture difference in the replaced cushions, which in beyond the control of DARLEE.

Standard Fabric Cushions:

All standard cushions are warranted to the original purchaser for a period of ONE YEAR from the date of
purchase. This consists of the cushions being free from defects in material and workmanship. This warranty
does not cover fading of fabrics, damage caused by ammonia, harsh abrasive cleaners, pool chlorine, suntan
oils, blocks and / or lotions, mold, mildew, neglect or from lack of providing reasonable care and maintenance.

Sunbrella Fabric Cushions:

All Sunbrella fabric cushions are warranted to the original purchaser for a period of TWO YEARS from the date
of purchase. This consists of the cushions being free from defects in material and workmanship, as well as any
fading or discoloration of the fabric, which has been properly maintained. No warrantied for all cushions is
accidental damage (fire, wind, or other acts of nature). Hard-water deposits or calcium build up due to
minerals found in regional water supplies are also not warranted.

CARE AND MAINTENANCE

Furniture:

We recommend that you wash your furniture with a mile liquid soap. If the furniture is scratched down to the
bare metal, we recommend lightly sanding the area then apply the touch up paint. When applying touch up
paint, all surfaces must be completely clean and dry before applying. Brush on Black paint (base coat) first.
Allow for it to dry completely. With a clean brush, apply Bronze paint. When using the Bronze paint, do not
over load the brush. Brush should dry. Lightly touch the surface area that needs to be refinished. Allow the
paint to dry completely.

Granite Table Tops:

In order to maintain and preserve the appearance and resistance staining, reseal your tabletop annually using
a penetrating stone sealer, available at most hardware and home improvement stores. For routine cleaning,
use a mild soap and water solution with a soft cloth. Rinse and dry thoroughly. Spills should be wiped up
promptly. Red wine and citrus juice left for prolonged periods of time can affect the natural stones
appearance and resistance to stain.

Cushions:

All cushions can be cleaned by fist brushing off any loose dirt, then with a mild soap and water mixture brush
them clean. Make sure to a soft bristly brush or sponge and air dry.
