MIDDLE WEDGE RETURN

)IGHT TACKLE: Align with your inside foot on the + 49 at the #'s. Sprint
diagonally to the 35 yard line and kickout #8. Aiming point
is the inside number. Don't allow y~ur assigned m.8n to
cross your face. On any bloop or squib kick Shorten your
drop to the -40 yard line to make block.

RIGHT GUARD: Align with your inside foot on. the + 49 two yards outside
the hash. Sprint diagonally to the 35 yard line and kickout
#7. Aiming point is the inside number. Don't allow your
assigned man to cross your face. On any squib or bloop
kick shorten your drop to the -40 yard line to make your
block.

CENTER: Align with your inside foot on the + 49 slightly offset to the
foot of the kicker. Sprint diagonally to the 35 yard line and
kickout #6. Aiming point is the inside number. Don't allow
your assigned man to cross your face. On any squib or
bloop kick shorten your drop to the -40 yard line to make
your block.

LEFT GUARD: Align with your inside foot on the + 49 two yards outside
the hash. Sprint diagonally to the 35 yard line and kickout
#5. Aiming point is the inside number. Don't allow your
assigned man to cross your face. On any squib or bloop
kick shorten you'r drop to the -40 yard line to make your
block.

LEFT TACKLE: Align with your inside foot on the + 49 at the hash. Sprint
diagonally to the 35 yard line and kickout #4. Aiming point

RIGHT END: Align on the -35 yard line be~ween the hash and the
numbers. Sprint diagonally to form the back wedge. Be
shoulder to shoulder with the right FB. Kickout #10 or the
most dangerous man to your outside. Aiming ppint is the

EFT END: Align on the -3,5 yard line between the hash and the
numbers. Sprint diagonally to form the back wedge. Be
shoulder to shoulder with the left FB. Kickout #2 or the
most dangerous man to your ouside.

RIGHT UPBACK: Align on the -25 yard line on the hash. You are the captain
of the back wedge. Set the' wedge no closer than 10 yards
and no further than 15 yards from the return man. Make
sure everyone in the back wedge is shoulder to shoulder and
give "GO" call to lead the wedge. Never set the wedge
more than 3 yards outside the hash. Kickout #9 or the most
dangerous man to your outsid.e. Aiming point is the inside
numbe·r. .

LEFT UPBACK: Align on the -25 yard line on the hash. Sprint diagonally to
be shoulder to shoulder with the right upback .. Kickout #3.

LEFT RETURNER: Align the left hash on the goalline. You are designated as'
the personal protector for the return man. Make sure the
ball is safely fielded and follow the back hip of the fast'man
in the wedge. Kickout #1 or the most dangerous man from
head up to your outside. If the ball is kicked outside the
numbers and you are called to return the ball, bring the ball
to the waH (hash) and get it upfield.

RIGHT RETURNER: Align on the right hash on the goalline. You are the primary
return man. Field every ball you possibly can. We need
gre~t communication between you and the personal
protector. Field every balL cleanly and take the ball upfield
into the heart of the wedge. If you field a ball more than 3
yards outside the hash, bring the ball to the wedge (hash}
and get it upfield. If the (PP) returns the ball, you assume,
his responsibilities and kickout # 1 or the most dang erous
man from head up to outside.

RIGHT RETURN

wedge is the convoy that creates the running jane for the
return man. Set the wedge no closer than 10 yards and no
further than 15 yards from the return man. Make sure every
one in the back wedge is shoulder to shoulder and go lead
the convoy. Kick-out #9 or the most dangerous man.
Aiming point is the inside breast. Never set the wedge more
than 3 yards outside the hash. If the ball is kicked outside
the #/S opposite the return or squibbed, give a "middle caW'
and everyone blocks the most dangerous men head up to
outside. Align on the -25 yard line at the hash .
