THE TRAVELING HOLY FAMILY Jesus, Mary and Joseph is coming to St. Edward families this summer! Jesus, Mary and Joseph will become spiritual guides for your own family this summer! A lovely statue of the Holy Family is available to travel to parishioners homes for six days at a time, along with a binder of prayer/suggested topics you may use to enrich your family experience. On-Line Registration for Religious Education Classes for the 2011-12 year will begin in late June. Keep checking the St. Edward website to complete your on-line registration. Simply go to www.stedward.com click on Faith Formation you will be directed from there!

Your whole family can FIGHT HUNGER in Orange County St. Edward Family Ministries joins Second Harvest Food Bank GLEANING for GOD Sat., June 25th 8am gather at St. Eds for prayer and instructions; 9am--11am picking crops on Irvine field. PICKING CROPS FOR THE POOR is biblically based. In Old Testament days farmers left corners of their acreage unpicked for widows and orphans. What better way to kick off your family summer than to join our St. Edward the Confessor Parish Family in this Christian Service Project! Well carpool from St. Edwards parking lot at 8:15AM. Maps will be given out to drivers. Signed volunteer waivers are neededand handed out on Sat. morning. Bring your insurance/medical info please. Bring drinking water, sun hats, sunscreen, buckets or large plastic bags, and gloves. Sign up now! Our Mission:
St. Edward Summer Camp is a two-week program designed to improve and enrich skills in academic areas. Extra curricular courses are also being offered to provide opportunities for multiple intelligences.
Each class is limited to 15 students to provide a small group tutoring environment. Who:

PRAYER FOR OUR U.S. MILITARY Almighty and eternal God, those who take refuge in you will be glad and forever will shout for joy. Protect these soldiers as they discharge their duties. Protect them with the shield of your strength and keep them safe from all evil and harm. May the power of your love enable them to return home in safety, that with all who love them, they may ever praise you for your loving care. We ask this through Christ our Lord.
