CPSC, Bombardier Recreational Products Inc. Announce Recall of Snowmobiles


Note: Phone Number Change. The following product safety recall was conducted voluntarily by the firm in cooperation with the CPSC. Consumers should stop using recalled products immediately unless otherwise instructed. It is illegal to resell or attempt to resell a recalled consumer product. Name of Product: Ski-Doo 2003 Grand Touring 800 SDI SE; Legend 800 SDI SE Ski-Doo 2004 Legend 600 HO SDI SE, SE GT, Sport and Sport GT; Legend 800 HO SDI SE and SE GT; MX Z X, Adrenaline and Renegade X; GSX Limited, Limited 1+1, Sport and Sport 1+1 Ski-Doo 2005 MX Z Renegade Units: About 3,163 Manufacturer/Importer: Bombardier Inc. and Bombardier Recreational Products Inc. (BRP), Quebec, Canada. Hazard: The throttle lever could become stuck leading to loss of speed control and possible collision. Incidents/Injuries: BRP has received two reports alleging stuck throttles. No injuries have been reported. Description: BRP snowmobiles come in black, blue, gray, white, yellow and autumn/black. Recalled models are listed below in this table:

Consumers should contact an authorized Ski-Doo dealer to schedule an appointment for repair, free of charge.
