Smart Card Time and Attendance

Time and Attendance Scotland supply smart card operated time and attendance systems. Available in a range of shapes and sizes, the smart cards operate your system using well-proven and reliable RF technology. Being contactless, they can be read by your time and attendance clock in under second, even whilst still being in your pocket, bag, wallet, or purse. Constructed from toughened implant-quality glass, key fobs are also available to operate your time and attendance system. They use the same RF technology as smart cards but have a reduced read range due to their smaller size.

Biometric Time and Attendance

For increased security and to prevent "buddy clockings", you may wish to consider implementing biometric time and attendance within your system. Biometrics provide a reliable and accurate two-factor authentication environment, where the ability to trick the system by using another person's smart card to clock is eliminated. A combination of fingerprint reading and non-fingerprint reading scanners can be implemented on the same time and attendance network, allowing you to pick and choose where you wish your biometric readers to be.

After completion of mediation over the controversial Edinburgh tram project, Edinburgh City Council announced it will close Princes Street from July until next spring to allow works on the tram line to be repaired. Four-fifths of the total budget for the project has already been spent. The council said work had resumed in the areas around the tram depot at Gogar and at Haymarket. Officials said Princes Street, which is already closed to cars, would shut to buses from July 3. A Time and Attendance Scotland time and attendance system can be operated by proximity key fobs or smart cards, which can be used on the same clocks and scanners. An inbuilt aerial made from copper and iron is embedded into your key fob, allowing it to be scanned by your time and attendance system. We have found that most of our customers opt for the T1313 key fob. Our time and attendance software includes reports that show when a production job is nearing its budget limit.
