The unusual pounding in a Christians heart

(I hope its you) People would never understand why we do such things and why were so crazy in doing them. They would never know why we give so much of our time, money and effort on things that arent so important in the eyes of any rational man. And they would never comprehend why the hell we kill ourselves in sacrificing for the things that we do. I think its probably because theyve never felt this unusual pounding in our hearts whenever we see some people being bullied/abused/oppressed by others for no good reason at all or whenever we see a friend cry terribly before our very own eyes because he/shes so fed up and tired of life. Or each time we hear of people resorting to drugs, killer fraternities/gangs, and mindless sex and romance not just because it feels good but also because they just dont know where to run to anymore. I hate this! I totally hate this! Theres so much pain and injustice everywhere. And whats more hateful is that, you couldnt blame anyone for this upfront reality, because pointing at someone would just cause him/her pointing at somebody else until everyone in this atrophic world points at everyone else. Such a mess for just trying to find whose fault it is! Im imagining God way before B.C. He mustve seen how blinded his people have become after He cast Adam and Eve out of His Eden paradise which I believe is a metaphor of His perfect presence. He mustve also known what would happen in the following centuries and what the world would eventually be like in 2011.And He mustve understood that theres no way out for His people but for Him to make a sacrifice, though how irrational and unrealistic it would seem to them. Thats why Jesus came and thats why we have a john 3:16 which tells us of a very short story of a God who unconditionally loves His people that He gave up his only Son, whose name is Jesus Christ, to suffer for His peoples punishment because of sin and that whoever would believe in this Jesus Christ would have a way out of a damned life and a gift of eternal hope and peace in heaven with Him. And now Im imagining Jesus in heaven crying for His lost and broken people each time He hears one crying out to Him in prayer and too much hurt. He mustve felt the hurt too. And as much as we want to feel His hand holding ours, He yearns for the same thing too. Jesus wants to reach all of us out. Like sheep, He wants to lift us up, embrace us so tightly in his arms, and never let us go. But the huge spiritual gap between God and man somehow disables this connection to happen. The fact that we cannot see God and tangibly

feel Him makes it harder for us to believe not just His existence but also His so called unconditional love. But then I believe, Jesus completely knows and understands theseand thats why He makes Himself known and felt to His people in ways that we cannot fully contain. And at times, He uses other people to prove Himself truer. This unusual pounding in some Christians hearts, I guess, is Jesus way of calling their attention and making them hear and feel His hearts cry for His beloved people. Its like Jesus Himself personally shaking their hearts out of a desperate desire to send someone to His people whore in dire need of His reality. And He does this by making them feel the pain, concern, and love that He feels for His lost children (flesh of His flesh and created in his own image and likeness). And Jesus does this shaking so well, that any Christian who He has chosen to become His vessel cannot resist His request of reaching His people out because He overwhelms him/her first with His indescribable saving grace and love. Gods cry is so strong that no human heart can ever withstand it and its so powerful that it causes ordinary people to do extraordinary things all for loves sake. I believe that THE NEED HAS NOT YET BEEN MET and that JESUS IS NOT DONE YET. He has the same cry in His heart for His lost people and it has never faded into something less. And up to this very moment, His eyes are still on the look-out for Christians whose desire is to be used by Him for something more meaningful than just simply livingfor something thats of PURPOSE. P.S I hope its you

Oh how I wish I could have a great burden for the lost, thats why I pray, Lord at all times remind me of the cross..
