The Accents emphasis on aerodynamics is based on Hyundais fluidic sculpture design principles. Even at rest, the Accent is a marvel to look at. Its dynamic lines with deep grooves create a sporty profile. Strong, defining wheel arches, and a distinctive hexagonal grille makes it look like its moving even while standing still.

The primary measure of a small car is fuel consumption, and the Hyundai Accent not only excels, it leads.^ With superior Gasoline Direct Injection (GDI) engine technology, a first for its category, the Accent is able to precisely control the injection of fuel and delivers an impressive 138 horsepower, 123 lb-ft of torque and best-in-class 4.8L/100 km (AT) highway fuel economy^ (Gasoline engines only). If it can make you go further, weve incorporated it: An offset crankshaft design, an electronic throttle control, and even low-rolling resistance silica tires that reduce friction with the road. It all adds up to greater fuel efficiency.

What others believe are premium safety features, we believe should be standard. Safety is not a luxury, but a necessity. Every Accent comes standard with six airbags,1 Vehicle Stability Management (VSM), Electronic Stability Control (ESC), Traction Control System (TCS),2 and front active head restraints. One of the most important aspects of safety is preventive and thats why so much research has been put into our class-leading braking technology. The Accent is the only car in its class to offer four-wheel disc brakes as standard (sub-compact class). Also standard is Anti-lock braking with Electronic Brake Force Distribution (EBD) and Brake Assist. EBD recalibrates the braking force between front and rear wheels to maximize stopping ability, and Brake Assist ensures that maximum braking force is applied when you need it most.

It does so not by dramatically increasing its exterior dimensions, but by creatively maximizing its interior. With available Bluetooth hands free functionality, you can make and receive phone calls hands free through the cars stereo system, keeping things safe and convenient. 16" Alloy Rims. The all-new Accent comes standard with 14-inch steel wheels and attractive wheel covers. For a sportier look, 16-inch alloys are standard equipment on the GLS.

Computer trip system. An onboard computer gives you useful driving information such as journey time and distance to empty. Its also where youll find the ECO Drive indicator that helps you drive in a more fuel-efficient, economical way.

4-Wheel Disc Brake. 4-wheel disc brakes add that extra level of safety by using the back wheels as well as the front to make for faster, effective stops.

iPod Connectivity. Thanks to available USB connectivity you can plug in an iPod and control your favourite tunes through the factory audio system while simultaneously charging your player or connect your MP3 player or other compatible devices through the standard auxiliary input.

Mirror-Mounted Turn Signal. With large side-view mirrors, the Accent offers drivers a wide view of rear and side-rear traffic for added safety, while available side repeater lights alert other drivers to your intentions when turning or changing lanes.
