International standard for home care

Ive been looking at Europe and have noticed that they the same problem exists as in the US: rising healthcare costs, ageing population, and at the Allen Hager established Right at Home in 1995. I worked in hospital administration at the time, mostly focused on creating care venues for patients, and in that capacity looked at the whole spectrum of care. I noticed that a lot of people were concerned about how to care for their elderly family members once they had left the hospital. I also spoke with elderly people who realised they were in need of nursing care, but didnt want to leave the comfort of their own home. You have to realise that its a lot of pressure to care for elderly family members, especially when these people have specific healthcare needs. So I decided to establish Right at Home, enabling elderly people to stay at home while receiving quality care. Right at Home now has over 200 offices that serve thousands of clients across the United States, the United Kingdom, Brazil and China. Expansion wont stop there, says Mr. Hager. The Netherlands is one of the countries where hes looking to establish a Master Franchise. The plan, says Mr. Hager, initially was for Right at Home to operate its own network of care services businesses. But then I realised that it would be a better idea to start a franchise, as people locally have greater knowledge of the local healthcare market, and care needs, than I ever will. So he started branching into other regions of the country by carefully selecting franchisees who shared his passion for caring for those in their community. New franchise holders do have to meet Right at Homes quality standards. Franchisees must carefully select caregivers and check that they have the right background and training, Mr. Hager points out. Franchise takers make use of our in-house developed professional assessment methodology to assess patient needs. Another vital part of the Right at Home method is ongoing supervision. What you often see in home care is that peoples care and medical needs progress, and we constantly reevaluate those needs for that reason. Overall our ambition is to create a high quality care service, on a global scale. same time a slowdown in population growth. In other words, theres fewer young people to care for more elderly people. The Netherlands is particularly interesting to us as they are already familiar with home care services. And from a business perspective, the Dutch are open-minded, which creates a good climate for a company like ours to build a new franchise network.
